MindDay Game Week 8 (December Special)
It's December, the heart of our festive season in the Philippines, filled with yuletide activities and family reunions. December used to be the most looked-forward-to and anticipated month of the year. This year, however, recent calamities temper that childhood thrill for many, blending excitement with quiet reflections on resilience amid recovery. For many, despite the joyful songs and dazzling parks, a profound loneliness often lingers in the air. Loneliness affects those grieving losses or isolated from family like our OFWs, amplified by festive media portrayals.
This will amplify the usual mental health challenges during the Yuletide season in the Philippines known as "holiday blues". This manifests as heightened stress, anxiety, loneliness, and depression amid festive pressures like rising costs, family obligations, and post-typhoon recovery intensify stress, loneliness, and depressive symptoms.
Christmas 2025 will be a lot different...
The Game
This game, named the "MindDay Game," is created in honor of World Mental Health Day to raise awareness and foster community connection through a simple and enjoyable activity. The goal of this game is to encourage a deeper understanding of mental health by making learning about well-being accessible and engaging, breaking down barriers to conversations about mental health in a fun and inclusive way.
While the rewards may be modest, the true purpose is to promote mindfulness and empathy within the community. This initiative aims to unite participants in a shared mission to prioritize mental health and wellness through education and support. The game is thoughtfully designed to spark open dialogue, invite active participation, and cultivate a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to learn and share.
Heartfelt gratitude goes to all who have consistently engaged and supported this meaningful project. Together, we build a more informed and compassionate community that values mental health as a cornerstone of overall well-being. Special thanks to the contributors from previous MindDay Games (,

Free Psychological Tools
I am sharing with you some valuable psychological tools for mental health assessment. One noteworthy example is the Free Mental Health Screening Tool launched. This web-based instrument is designed to help individuals measure their levels of stress, anxiety, and depression through validated self-report questionnaires. It is intended for INFORMAL use by the general public aged 12 and older who want to gain insight into their mental health symptoms. The screening tools serve as important initial steps in recognizing potential mental health concerns, although they do not replace professional diagnosis or treatment. They allow users to reflect on their emotional well-being conveniently and anonymously, fostering greater mental health awareness and encouraging those at risk to seek further evaluation or support.

My December HPUD
It's been several months since my last participation in Hive Power Up Day (HPUD)—I believe it was back in April when I made my most recent power-up. I focused mostly on playing Splinterlands and alloted most of my hive resources on it.
Returning for today's event feels invigorating and like a meaningful recommitment to the community. This time, I'm excited to power up again.
(I personally prefer Hive in all of my transactions in the blockchain.)
That would be all for now. I hope that everyone would have a marvelous December.
