Atlantic Thin Place
WHERE HEAVEN AND EARTH MERGE
Are you familiar with the concept of a Thin Place?
"Thin places are places of energy. A place where the veil between this world and the eternal world is thin. A thin place is where one can walk in two worlds – the worlds are fused together, knitted loosely where the differences can be discerned or tightly where the two worlds become one." Thinplacetour.com
This is a near perfect description of what it is. These are actual real places in 3D space that you can visit. However, a thin place is experienced and not sensed. Before I ever knew it had a name, I had experienced the concept many times in different places.
The first time I ever encountered the actual name of it was when I watched the video below by a couple I'd followed for many years. They experienced a think place in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, which completely changed their destiny. It's an interesting video if you ever get the chance to watch it. They're also a very interesting couple to follow. Their content is genuine and truly entertaining and at times educational.
I thought it was interesting that the most recent thin place I've experienced was at this same ocean, the Atlantic, and the experience was as strong as I'd ever had before.
For many people, the experience is life-changing, like for the above couple. Some people that are used to thin places just enjoy the feeling of it.
There are a few spots in England that I've had the experience. One of such places is the Lake District. At some point I suddenly felt like the earth was upside-down and I couldn't tell which way which - everything looked identical all the way to the horizon.
I've also had a few of the experiences on the African continent; in Egypt, Ethiopia and South Africa. South Africa has more than its fair share of thin places. I've never been to Namibia, but I think there would be a lot of such places there especially near those dunes and along the coast.
All the woowoo people reading already know what I'm talking about, lol. It's really hard to explain. It has to be experienced. I wonder if some of these stories we hear about "divine encounters" we hear about in history and "holly books" were really experiences of thin places.
If you click on the reference link I provided above to Thinplacetour.com, or just from the name, you can see that there are tours to these spots that you can take. I had a quick look at the website and the list of destinations are by no means exhaustive. For instance, none of the thin places I've been to are included in the tour. I've been considering going on such a tour just to see, since I'm already perceptive to the experience.
Have you ever been to a thin place or had the experience? I'd love to hear about it, and where.
Peace & Love,
Adé
