Spring is here and meadows grow, here on the green wild grasses and flowers have been attracting all kinds of biodiversity important for healthy ecosystems.
However as you can see from this picture above, some of the green has already been cut. Now of course it will grow back but spring is an important time for insects and other pollinators like bees as flowers become scarce in the summer and winter. Keeping our pollinators alive and thriving is important to our own survival on this planet.
Gardening, pruning and cutting are all really a scam, yes they create some jobs for people and mean business can sell tools like mowers strimmers, chemicals, leaf blowers etc all of which disrupt the nature habit of small creatures and birds. A lot of time and money is spend on this destructive industry. Because of that I don't see anything nice or aesthetic about lawns. Lawns have been used as a display of wealth historically and one of the biggest and unpublized scams on the planet.
Its time to ditch lawns and allow your open spaces to grow as nature intended it. I shall be writing to the council to express what I've wrote here but I have a feeling not much will change, since they are running this scam, from your taxes to benefit certain industry and we know politics is tied to billon dollar industries, they are all in cahoots. But you can make a difference with you own property and lawns. Let me know what you think in the comments below,
