Phew!! The last time I saw y'all was last year 😂.
So dear, I'd love to talk about equality among siblings or let me rather put it kids at home.
Everyone is human and being treated fair is heartwarming and nice.
I mean who would want to be treated badly.
It's a sad thing that in some homes parents would prefer one child to others,they'd do everything possible to make just one child comfortable and hardly look after others.
It's not a nice thing as it is a form of neglect,it leaves a particular mindset with the neglected child, eventually,the child who's always treated well would feel entitled to everything and would find it hard to share.
I once lived with a relative, she had two kids ,a boy and a girl.
She always treated her son like an egg and hardly paid attention to her daughter.
Her daughter grew up thinking her mother didn't like her, she started growing hatred and jealousy for her brother,if any little thing happened,her mother would blame her for everything.
Her brother never got punished for his wrongs, but if she made a little mistake,she'd get beaten and punished,I didn't even have a say cos well,I wasn't their sibling, but I felt for the girl, sometimes she'd want to be alone,she hardly talked, started become violent just to get attention. After no one looked her way,she shut down.I don't know if her relationship with her mother would be the same,her father was hardly home,I relocated later because I got admission into the university.
I don't know how the girl is now, but during those times a lot of thought must have run through her head,one time she had asked me if they were her real parents,I told her they were,at that young age, she started feeling neglected.
This is the situation in most homes,at some point if it's a female, she would look for attention somewhere else, probably fall into the waiting arms of a boy who has promised her the whole world, but doesn't mean well for her, doesn't even know how much lip gloss or a diaper costs,if it's a male,he becomes hardened and could indulge in anything that's not right just to get attention of others.
Parents are to treat every child equally, love every child equally,no child should be more preferred than the other. Infact mom shouldn't have her favorite and dad his.
Every Child should be a favorite.
Neglect isn't good, every child should be treated equally.
