Darling Hivians
A wonderful morning to y'all (from Nigeria🇳🇬).
How did your night go?
My night was good,I did my laundry and slept all through.
A relief from all the stress ,phew😌.
So today I realized something,I'm getting older, like whaaat!!!
I'm 18 and like 28 days ago I was 17, I'll be 19 next year,then 20,then 21.....
Well I have to accept the fact that I'm growing older every single day 😂😂.
I know one time in my life, I'll be married and kids will come, 😁 I hope to be married before my thirties.
When I was a kid,I learnt a lot of things from my parents. I've realized that children tend to pick up things they see their parents do or say.
Parenting is a very tough thing to do, it's full of lessons,it's fun ,it's draining,it's emotional.
The good thing is after all these feelings a child comes out better and adds value to himself, the parents and the society.
I want my kids to be able to look up to me,I want them to be able to trust me,I want them to obey me.
I have to be intentional about their training, and I always pray I marry someone who would cooperate. Oftentimes the job of parenting is left for the mother alone, except of course if the child was adopted by a single parent,or lost one parent,I think parenting is something the father and mother should participate in.
As a person,I have qualities I would want them to imbibe, submission is important, honesty, fairness, diligence in studies, dedication to the things of God, working hard.
I believe if kids can imbibe these little qualities and characters, they can make a difference and over time, the stress of parenting would be reduced.
I'm glad I could learn good things from my parents. I know they are not perfect but they really tried. I've seen the person my elder brother is becoming, a well behaved young man. I have a long way to go😁😊😊😊, but with the things I'm learning each day,I believe parenting would be great for me.
What do you want your child to learn from you?
