Hey Hivers! Today i FINALLY went to a hospital to have a doctor look at my poor tonsils.. I have had throbbing tonsilitis for FOUR years now, all day every day! not good... I have been trying to treat it naturally, without success for some time now, but have not wanted to go to an allopathic doctor.. especially when i was in Europe and i basically don't have much faith in most doctors.. and as many of you will know.. they can cost a fortune! The last experience i had with western doctors was in the USA.. i have to tell you, the experience i had with a few USA doctors was absolutely the worst i have ever experienced EVER hands down no contest.. Not only that but they charged me a LOT of money to basically do nothing, or a terrible job.. but that is another story!
Now i am in India, and specifically in Puttaparthy i decided to give it a shot.. I know very well how amazing the doctors and nurses are here after several friends and family had used them.. Most of them work for free, for the love of it.. and most wonderfully there is NO charge for any treatment! Isn't that something!
I don't know what it is about Indian doctors but they are very special (in general!). They have a great knowledge and an ability to think out of the box. They also have what i will call a divine connection, and especially here the doctors hearts are full of love and wide open. That feeling is palpable, and felt that straight away as i began to explain my problem to my Doctor today.
I was duly impressed. It was BUSY, very busy and yet they registered me as a new patient within about 5 minutes flat. Full efficiency and no BS! I didn't have to sign any waver forms like i did in America, and i was sitting with my doctor in no time. The efficiency of this hospital was quite impressive..
We had a good chat and he had a good look.. as i suspected it doesn't appear to be a bacterial infection, but most likely a viral one... but there is only one way to know and that is to test! I had recently done this same procedure in Portugal and was duly UNIMPRESSED with everything from A-Z. That doctor didn't even touch me, nor did he take any swabs.. He had no advice or any idea about much really.. All he did was write a letter to another hospital to get a blood test. No compassion, no connection, no love, no treatment, no advice, nothing. That is why i waited many months to reach India and try again.
SO, i went a few doors down to have a blood test and my swap collected. I normally REALLY hate blood tests, and have a phobia of needles.. i also do NOT like having my blood taken out of me.. it just seems wrong.. Nevertheless, this was the most painless, quick, and easy blood test i have ever had.. The nurse was clearly very proficient at this, and within about 10 seconds i was done. Its the first time i didn't even feel anything.. not even that little prick that your supposed to have.. Beautiful! My test results will come tomorrow :)
If it turns out to be a viral infection, i will have to go to the main hospital which is called the Super Speciality hospital just down the road. That hospital qualifies as a temple even more than this one.. It is a breathtaking place, designed by the same architect as the UK royal family.. ALL the doctors there work for free, for the love of it, because the live by the motto, Help Ever Hurt Never, and Love and Serve All. Its not like any hospital you will ever go to i can assure you.. As silly as it may sound, im hoping i get to go there, because ive always wanted to be treated in that place, that temple, just to experience it.
SO, i thanked the doctor with a big smile, and he blessed me with his good wishes and compassionate eyes.. What a joy really. Then i had a little walk around as i found my shoes (everyone is bare feet in there!) and enjoyed looking at the devotional temple they had outside. SO beautiful, and nice to see a few guardian angels dotted about.. Only in India, only in India..
All in all, this was a very special experience.. I came out with a huge smile on my face, and felt truly looked after and in good hands.. a FAR cry from the Western experience. Its such a shame what a shit show western medicine has become.. OK there are times when you get lucky, or you have the kind of medical condition that is very easily dealt with.. and of COURSE there are some good GPs around.. but you really have to get lucky.. and even then.. you often have to pay big bucks for treatment..
I don't really know how they do it, how everything is free, and so efficient, but that it is how it is.. and i feel very grateful indeed to this country and this hospital and all of the doctors and nurses who truly work none stop all day long treating people who have no money and great need for help. Its SO special!
Right now my friend is in the USA.. she has been seeing doctors for 5 months to try to get some help to understand what is wrong with her ever since she had her COVID Vaccination. She nearly lost her vision, has pain, numbness and all kinds of symptoms. They have run more tests on her than on a lab rat, and she has spent GOD knows how much money so far on it. They are not even one step closer to identifying the issue, although they MAY have ruled out a brain tumour, but even that i think they are not even sure..
Sometimes i wonder why people, especially in the USA even bother going to the USA doctors.. There are options all around the world, not just in India.. I remember also going to fantastic hospital in Thailand. It was FULL of Americans who had figured this out and were able to get better treatment, for MUCH less money and have a free holiday to boot! Smart people..
So Id like to finish by saying, if you do live in a country like the USA where the medical system is at best a total rip off scam, and you have medical issues.. you may want to consider visiting another country to get help. You will most like have a much better experience, and not have to spend all your savings on a corrupt medical system and doctors who earn ridiculous money often doing not very much and not very well.. Im still looking at the scar on my finger from the stitches i had when i used to live in the USA.. Terrible job, and i think it costed me $600 USD.. madness!
