Una estrategia valiosa e importante para luchar contra los problemas medioambientales es precisamente el "huerto", a través del cual se puede conseguir una mejor calidad de vida y un mejor uso de los elementos medioambientales.

Huerto y Huerto Familiar/ Orchard and Family Garden

Una pequeña porción de tierra bien aprovechada puede representar un huerto, en el que se pueden cultivar verduras, hortalizas y aquellos alimentos que forman parte de los quehaceres diarios de la cocina.

En mi caso particular, aprovecho la superficie de 144 metros cuadrados de mi huerto para cultivar pimientos, berenjenas, yuca, plátano y plantas medicinales.

El huerto familiar se convierte en una magnífica actividad doméstica, en la que se cultivan hortalizas y frutas, que suponen un gran beneficio para la familia, ya que les ayuda a reducir los gastos en alimentación y a satisfacer el autoconsumo al menos durante un tiempo.
Cuando la familia se dedica al cultivo de su huerto, esto le permite controlar la contaminación ambiental, ya que se reduce el uso de fertilizantes y se utilizan los residuos orgánicos como abono, lo que ayuda a reducir la basura y a cuidar mejor las plantas del huerto.

The family garden becomes a wonderful home activity, in which vegetables and fruits are grown, which are of great benefit to the family, as it helps them to reduce food expenses and to satisfy self-consumption at least for a while.
When the family is dedicated to the cultivation of their garden, this allows them to control environmental pollution, since the use of fertilizers is reduced and organic waste is used as fertilizer, which helps to reduce garbage and take better care of the plants in the garden.

Por último, podemos decir que el huerto familiar es de gran relevancia, ya que ayuda económicamente en la alimentación sana de la familia y que el uso de los residuos orgánicos como abono para las plantas, contribuye a minimizar la contaminación ambiental y tener un planeta menos contaminado.

Finally, we can say that the family garden is of great relevance, since it helps economically in the healthy nutrition of the family and that the use of organic waste as fertilizer for plants, contributes to minimize environmental pollution and have a less polluted planet.
