Sundays always seem to have us up later which gives the nice change of having light. I woke up with my head draining which was welcome but not the most enjoyable. The heat of the water and the steam help to loosen everything up and has helped keep this a lot more mellow. After the morning soak I buzzed my hair off just in time for winter... At least I have nice warm hats has crocheted for me.
weaving is coming along quite nicely. This is her second go and it is nice and tight and the colors look really cool together. I have to get a stand built for it and sanded really well so the yearn won't catch on it anywhere. It'll be pretty simple I just need to make sure I have the rights sized wood in the shop.
I put in my seed order with Territorial Seeds for next year and since I had a 15% off my order code I got a seedling heat mat, the 20"x20". My goal this year is to actually get pepper plants started and large enough that they will produce. To do that they need warm soil, a lot warmer than the mid 60s F of the house most of the winter.
I've wanted an led grow light for years now and they are so affordable now I had to get one. I was browsing a couple of sights and came upon the Atreum Lighting Hydra 1000 which is 12" square and covers up to 9 sqft. It is dimmable so I will be able to use it for the pepper starts. The company is in Seattle and uses high quality components. It cost $150 and is available at their site or through Amazon.
It was that time to clean out the filter for the spa and it definitely needed it. It is on a 30 day cycle for cleaning and as much as we use it it is good to keep up on it.
The boys love playing the card game War, when it is light outside so they can see the cards easily. I made a floating card table of sorts that they use.
The moon looked pretty cool as I was coming back from hooking the trailer up to the truck. It was 4:30 and just getting dark, the clouds were whispy and they gave the moon a cool glow around it.
Much of the day for the boys was spent cleaning on their rooms, which are starting to show improvement. It is a never ending battle but slowly they are complaining less each time they have to.
I've been out already to get grain and will empty it out once the sun is up. It's going to rain today, most likely this afternoon, I'll have to pickup the boys from school, and get the trailer hooked up again and load the truck with 4 barrels for the morning so I can drop empties at 3 breweries and pickup at 1 of them. I'm going to work on the loom stand and maybe have it built today.
