I came across this post when I was going through the posts on one of the users here on hive who I follow and I saw a post with title five reasons why he loves hive. Being a lover of hive myself I just had to go through the post and see his opinion as well, probably I would learn one or two things I didn't know about Hive before.
It was going through the post I came across the link to the original posts and since there's quite a lot I love about Hive, I decided to make my own post.
I've not been on hive for a long time compared to many of the people I currently follow and look up to here as I only registered September last year making it just 6 months + on this platform, even at that there have been experiences and motivational factors that make me enjoy my stay here.
Below are five reasons why hive has cemented itself in my heart.
1. EARNING
As much as we all love to create great content here on hive, one of the main factors that made me come across this platform initially was the economic condition of my country.
With economic situations getting tougher almost every day, I had to look for alternate ways of earning. So a friend introduced me to the crypto world and with my little knowledge I began to make research on ways to earn and I came across this platform where I could earn by doing something I already love to do initially which is creating content.
Upon registration I was still under my National service programme so I wasn't really free with enough time on the platform, but once I was through I still had hive on the side as something I could count on.
2. CREATIVITY
As much as earning was a motivation during sign-ups, another factor I love about Hive is the creativity it brings out in me to create content.
A lot of times I write a post here and I go back to read it but I'm surprised the idea came from me. This shows how much it has improved my thought process in seeing things in a new light and finding ways to talk about my ideas.
Also I get to see other peoples point of view on various issues, and since plagaiarism is very much shunned. You can begin to appreciate the thought process and the work out into creating such work. As I believe every post is a work of art that went through a creative process in the authors mind.
3. MY WRITING SKILLS
Unlike many people who pride themselves very good writer's, before joining hive my writing skills could best be described as passable or manageable.
But because of the thought and time I put into writing, I believe my writing skills have greatly improved compared to my pre - hive days. Although I do not claim to have top writing skills compared to many great writers here, but I personally know there has been a great leap between then and now.
4. SOCIALIZING
It's always good to remember that as much as you can be rewarded on hive, it will always remain a kind of social media site.
So at the core of the functions performed on hive is the social aspects. Take for instance the user that made me come across this post, we have never met but the reason why I followed him was because I came across a post where he write about Kano state in Nigeria. Coincidentally just recently i went to visit some of my family members in Kano state a few months ago, so when I saw his post I quickly followed him and since then I have been following his content here on Hive.
5. OPPORTUNITY FOR LEARNING
One of the advantages I love about Hive, is that there is no limitations to what you can learn and you can find just about any community that fits the category of your social life.
I'm someone who's interested in games but my focus has always been on soccer related ones. Just last week I decided to register on one of the popular games I've been seeing here on hive called Splinterlands and so far I've learned a lot about that category of gaming and although I made a lot of mistakes initially but by checking other people's posts and watching some of their videos I was able to learn more than enough to start my journey as a player on Splinterlands.
For others who are interested in other things, probably food, animal life and so on the possibility for learning and coming across new things from various parts of the world is simply endless. I love that hive gives that opportunity to it's users.
Here are the five things I thought to write about as there are many others that I love about Hive.
