About 7 month it has not rained, one of the rice farming communities cannot plant rice because the water source has become dry. There is no water source that can irrigating rice fields, cultiveting lowland rice is not an aquatic plant.
The current condition of the land is split, in general the rice farming community suffers lossed with no water the dry season is quite long. The condition of the land that has been divided like this has been around for 4 month since the lost harvest in juni 2023 and was left star planting rice again when the rain has fallen.
The irrigation channels will start to have water normally, the last year rice cultivation farmers could harvest three time a years, this year they can harvest once. Some rice farmers have turned to work as traders among others.
The impact of the long dry season and rice farmers are unable to cultivate rice due to drought and there is no source of water, in general rice reserves are also depleting,of course the price of rice in the market price has gone up.
The majority of rice cultivation farmer still manage the traditional way, stil depend on the abundance of water, especially for low land rice cultivation. Currently the community is waiting for rain to come. The water can return to normal though irrigation. The true story of what happend mostly on planet earth Indonesia.
