Spirituality
Spirituality is trying to understand or connect with something that's greater than oneself, something divine, unexplainable.
That's definitely why most of us may believe that our spiritual being is intricately linked to the church, mosque, temple etc.
Some tend to find it in their own personal supplication or relationship on their own with a higher power. Some find it in arts, their sense of purpose. Whichever way the idea is still the same. Trying to understand the powers that control the earth.
And in each of the spiritual places there are leaders, spiritual teachers or gurus that guide and try to lead us to our respective higher powers. They're believed to have vast knowledge in issues concerning our spirituality. Most are believed to have a closer relationship with our respective spiritual being. And that's the reason we tend to run to them for spiritual guidance.
Now this doesn't necessarily mean we can't have a perfect relationship with our respective gods. Or that we can't grow spiritually just by our dedication to our spirituality.
Who is a spiritual teacher or guru?
A person with the role and responsibility to teach a human being or universal being what is accurate and specific to know, learn and understand on a spiritual level to contribute to their soul agreement, soul purpose or spiritual evolution.
Yes, we need a spiritual guru to grow spiritualy
When born some we are all born without knowledge of anything in the world. We all were all born of ignorance but as time goes on we start to gain knowledge of our world. We gently get accustomed to the things around us, technology, how it works. Now most of us tend to explore more to get understanding even at a tender age. We've seen smart kids all around us, everywhere or anywhere. But one thing about all this is that no matter how smart or knowledgeable you're about things, you'll still need a teacher or a guide. That's the reason we are enrolled in schools. And each class in these schools has a teacher that puts us through with different subjects strategically thought according to our level, course or how our brains can carry it out.
Now even in our respective fields/ career, we have mentors who we look up to or seek advice from to grow career wise. Even if we are made to later outgrow them in life. But at one point we seek their knowledge because we believe that they're more experienced and learned in that field. Same applies to life itself
That's definitely the same way it is with spirituality. We may tend to try and find all the answers alone. But at one point or the other we need the guidance of a spiritual leader or a guru to guide us grow. Because at one point or the other we had baby knowledge on our spirituality.
