This is a very good question, and may not be the easiest to answer, although there have been many things written about the subject.
But let's see if I can dive into it a bit deeper, shall we?
First, let me start off by quoting some of the so-called spiritual 'gurus',
which doesn't mean I do or don't agree with what they say.

The Importance of Spirituality in the Quest for True Success
Spiritual Laws are important to understand in order to be successful. They help us stay on the right path and keep us away from danger.
Spiritual Laws can be found in the Bible and other religious texts. However, they are not limited to these sources. They can also be found in the sayings of wise people, in literature and even in our own lives.
Actually, I'd be willing to argue that most of the spiritual laws can be encountered, and experienced in our own lives, rather than from texts or books. Of course, we don't want to dismiss the words of those who've come before us. Wise words from our parents may not have had much meaning to us when growing up, but later in life, from my own experience, they've proven to be very helpful. I'm glad I registered them! But in reality, we will all have to find our own way in life, with some guidance from others, whenever we need it.
The 5 Laws of Spiritual Success is a book that was published in the year 2001. The author, Deepak Chopra, is a physician, public speaker and a writer. He is also a spiritual leader and has been referred to as the "rock star of alternative medicine". Now, you may think that Deepak is actually some sort of guru, or you may call him a fraud (my opinion about him is somewhere in the middle, he lost me when he became friends with fake do-gooder Oprah...), but there's certainly some truth within his words.
In his book, Deepak Chopra talks about five laws that one needs to follow in order to achieve success. These five laws are:
Live with awareness
Be impeccable with your word
Don't take anything personally
Don't make assumptions
Always do your best.
How to Achieve Infinite Consciousness for your Spiritual Success
1. Awareness
There are many things that contribute to spiritual success. One of these is consciousness. People who are conscious of themselves and the world around them can achieve a higher level of spiritual success.
In order to achieve infinite consciousness, it is necessary to be aware of oneself and the world around us. This awareness will allow us to take care of our own needs as well as those of others. It will also allow us to see the world with new eyes and appreciate what we have in life.
2. Be impeccable with your word
The late author, William Safire, once said "The best way to be impeccable with your word is to never use it." With the onslaught of new words, many people are using words they don't understand.
If you are going to use a word, make sure you know what it means and how it will affect the reader or listener. I am a true believer of Safire's saying. I'd rather just shut up than say things that don't make sense. On the other hand, in this new era of life where people get insulted very easily, and where it seems to be the order of the day that people feel they need to insult people they don't know, I've come past the stage that I care about what people think.
If I call out some of the bad words that were historically laden with negative intention, like the 'N-word' then yeah, I agree to be put in my place.
However, these days, you can't really say much anymore, or people get offended, and often times they'll resort to insults of their own. Very often, these insults are worse than the initial ones they were offended by.
What a world huh?
I've been called a Trump loving racist Nazi for saying that Joe Biden is a creep...and much worse. While these same people are driving a Tesla powered by child labor. Ironic. I usually just laugh it off because I know who I am, and they obviously don't. It doesn't add anything to tell them I'm an Anarchist and don't believe in government control of any kind, am surely not a Trump lover, and certainly not a racist or Nazi. But in those cases, I just leave it at that. These people are lost in my opinion, and they will have to find their own way back to their essence. There's nothing I can do for them.
3. Don't take anything personally
I think this speaks for itself. Especially when looking at the above words.
If I would take it personally every time someone calls me a name, like a Trump loving racist Nazi, then I could just sit in the corner all day and cry.
Instead, I try to see the person as a person. Not a bad person, or a particularly good person but a person. Are they maybe going through something in their lives that makes them say these things? Or maybe they're angry about something someone else said and they take it out on me? In fact, I don't even think I'm important enough that they'll even remember me somewhere down the line. It seems more like a projection of some kind, and nothing to do with me personally. Especially since I had never even met the person. They possibly call anyone who says anything like I did the same names. Just breathe in, and out, and let it go is my motto.
4. Don't make any assumptions
Dealing with Unintentional Implicit Bias in an Age of Diversity
Unintentional implicit bias is a serious problem that many people are not aware of. It is often a result of our upbringing and the culture we live in. We need to be more aware of these biases so that we can make sure they don't affect the way we interact with others.
We can do this by being aware of our own biases and acknowledging them when they happen. It's also important to be open to new perspectives and not just listen to people who share your ideas or values.
5. Always do your best

This quote reminds us that we are the ones in control of our future. We have to be proactive and take responsibility for what we want in life. We are the only ones who can make our dreams a reality.
Conclusion: Spiritual Growth & Success
There are many different types of spiritual success. One person may achieve a spiritual success by becoming a monk and living in solitude for the rest of their life. Another person may achieve a spiritual success by volunteering at an animal shelter or donating to charity.
Spiritual Success often means different things to different people. For some, it is about giving back to society by volunteering or donating to charity. For others, it is about finding inner peace and becoming self-sufficient. Spiritual Success can be achieved in many ways and there are no right or wrong paths that one must take in order to find it.
The journey to spiritual success is often a solitary one, but it doesn't have to be. The world is full of people who are on the same path as you, and there are many ways that you can get support and guidance from them.
In this day and age, self-improvement is all about growing your self-awareness and finding ways to step out of the illusion. There are many spiritual practices that can help you, but the one that stands out the most is achieving infinite consciousness. This powerful state of being knows no limits and sees only possibilities.
To me, this is the ultimate definition of success, and not just from a spiritual perspective.
