We all are busy in our own life. Getting time for meditation is not tough through. But we don't make this a priority. It's not tough to understand why we fail to do that. But there's another alternative like 'daily life meditation' which we can incorporate into our day-to-day activity.
But the question is, can they be as helpful as actual meditation?
I would say, something is better than nothing.
If you make yourself cope with daily life mediation like being mindful and focused while walking, cooking, or doing house chores; it will be easier to sit for an actual mediation session. Because you already know how to center your mind, what process you need to follow to be mindful and all. So it's always helpful.
Another thing is if we see this from a different perspective 'daily life meditation' will seem more helpful actually. Because you will always stay connected with your mind, you know what is going on, you can control your thought process.
Daily life mediation is not a substitute for actual mediation. It's just another way to stay focused throughout the day. There's no comparison yet we can bring more into life through this. Because it covers each and every day. So if you miss any mediation session, don't get time to sit for mediation, can't manage any quiet place then this can help you side by side.
We can choose to stay focused during our house chores like folding laundry, washing dishes, etc. It's like doing everything mindfully, focusing on what's going around. So our mind can't roam around randomly on past or can't wonder about the future. We can do this while walking, exercising, and throughout our daily life activities.
So you see, daily life meditation can also be helpful and actually have many benefits that we may not get from traditional mediation sessions. Think about practicing it!
