In the Visayas Region of the Philippines, you can find more rural areas rather than urban areas. In one province of that region, there is only one City and that is Maasin. Then most of the places are rural, surrounded by trees, ricefields, the sea and you can say it looks like a forest but not a wild one. Most people rely on agricultural resources, like planting vegetables, fruits, rice fields, coconut trees, fishing, and some more. There are some people who are currently living here working in the offices but only a few. Well, establishments in every small village or town if not being developed can be counted through the fingers.
As I say, you can't have much of a luxurious lifestyle but living here is fun. The environment is fun to see, the people are fun to be with like most of them can be your friends without recognizing their names. Of course, most jobs can be heavier with a lower salary. Even so, you can tell that your body feels healthier from the whole day of tiring work. How about a quick walk while glimpsing what a rural area looks like in the province.
Gossipers or also known in our country in Personal name as Marites. Wherever you go, they will be there to spend time and have conversations about what's going on. Even though they don't have evidence, they keep sharing what they heard and they'd observe their surroundings. Since they are all housewives that all stay in their houses, of course spreading rumors and hearing rumors will just kill time to have fun. Don't be mad at them, they are just having fun tormenting your names. lol
This might be a rural place but it doesn't mean gadgets, internet connection is absent. Though not all people can afford it because some people's budget is enough to buy food. As you can see in the image that one person is playing or using a mobile phone while the others are just watching. I think it's not that bad because if all of them have one, for sure more people will stay at home to have it by themselves.
This one guy here is busy making this fishing net or repairing it. If a fishing net has too many big holes that it's too big for a normal hole of a fishing net. They sew it using a nylon or the same quality they used to a fishing net. This is just beneficial to this guy since he knows how to do it. Not all people can do it and just let the experts handle it by paying a certain amount.
Talk about having fun, well, most of it can be found in the children. I witnessed these children having fun cleaning the house of a pig. Since the small river was nearby, they were just fetching it there and poured it. If you have friends like them it will be more fun because many will help and at the same time it's just like playing. You know children, they don't know what is tiredness as long as they are having fun.
As you can see and learn, this is the lifestyle in rural places. It will be up to you if you prefer to live like this since it's a matter of choice of how we want to live our life.
