This saying is quite popular everywhere...
It is only when you have a good and sound health you will be able to spend all the wealth you have acquired... without good health, the wealth won't be put to good use and that is why we must make sure our HEALTH comes first....
Life can be very hard at times when we are unhealthy, we have people who are not really enlightened on balanced diet, they take what they see irrespective of how it may affect their health...
The kind of food we eat sometimes are not what we are supposed to consume, we have foods that are supposed to be consumed at a particular Time and it is not every time it has to be food, it can be fruits or vegetables...
Especially the kind of people who have health challenges, they need to know what to consume at all times because of their health...
Over the years, I have come to realize that we have two categories of people, we have some people that irrespective of the food they consume, their body is always okay with it while the second set of people, even the smallest intake of those foods can cause harm to their digestive systems...and put them on a long term treatment because their body system was not built to consume that kind of food...
We need to be watchful of the kinds of foods we consume, don't just consume whatever you see, I know not everyone is financially equipped but irrespective of that, there are some fruits and food that is essential for you and not everything is costly...
There's a cheaper price at which you can get these things ...your health must come first at all times...we need to be very watchful of the food we eat when it comes to our health...
I know we have a lot of people out there that are very conscious of their health and that is because they already know what their system can digest...
Take for example, people that are allergic to some certain food and they don't even know the type of food that they are allergic too ..
Those kinds of people, when they eat certain food their body react negatively to it because it is like a poison to their immune system..
That is why we have to be very careful with our health and make sure we live a healthy life
We need to take balanced diet and these balanced diet contain all the six classes of food, all of which have their various quantities of intake...
They must not be taken in excess and also they are a must because they are all foods that nourish the body...let me just digress a little on BALANCED DIET AND ALL THE SIX CLASSES OF FOOD...
BALANCED DIET
A balanced diet is a diet that contains all the different kinds of foods in particular quantities and proportions so that the requirement for calories, proteins, minerals, vitamins and alternative nutrients are balanced and not in excess...
Balanced diet is what we need in our daily life to live healthily and vibrantly... they are required for the Body to function effectively..
MAIN CLASSES OF FOOD
These classes of food include:
CARBOHYDRATE
examples are bread, noodo, sphagetti,
rice and pastaFAT AND OIL
examples are Butter, margarines,
groundnut oil and palm oilPROTEIN
examples are milk, beans beef, fish,
egg, meat and so on..VITAMINS
examples are milk, soybeans, cereals,
soymilk and so on..MINERALS
examples are nuts and vegetablesWATER...

These classes of food are required by the body in smaller amounts and quantities...
We need to eat both locally grown and home grown vegetables rather than chemically induced plant for quick germination...
These vegetables when grown locally and in our home with the aid of sunlight and watering, they retain their nutrients and vitamins until they are fully matured enough for harvestation, when you fasten the growth of vegetables with chemicals, they become ordinary leaves that lacks nutrients and vitamins and it consumption might lead to upset stomach because of the chemicals... therefore it is adviced to eat locally grown vegetables..
Over the years, we all know the kind of food that people now consumes more even both the rich and less privileged..
Carbohydrates is what we consume more in this modern day age and to be specific the carbohydrate is RICE...
RICE is considered general food for everyone in the country, the rate at which people consume rice is higher than any other food, I can say that rice is highest purchased food in the world, people don't only eat it because of money, they eat it because it is just a general meal for all and it is quite unique...
Now that the population of the country is increasing gradually, the consumption rate of rice is increasing too and that is why it is the best selling food in the country expecially here in my country...the higher the number of families, the higher the consumption rate...
We can say that as we are advancing, we get to know about different foods and how they can be beneficial to our health and even rice now is used to produce others products like rice flour, all of these are because of advancement in the world...it has improved the economy positively..
I can't say we should eat some set of food and don't eat another but I can say consume all in minimum quantity and there are some that are needed to be consumed in large quantities...
FOOD TO BE CONSUMED TO STAY
HEALTHY AND VIBRANT
We need to consume all the six classes of food but with minimal consumption of some to enhance our health..
- We need to take more of fruits, all the fruits have different functions, all of which are very essential for our healthy living and growth...
Some fruits consumption reduce ageing and helps the skin nourishment.. we need to consume fruits before and after eating... They secrete some enzymes that that works on the food we eat to release nutritional nutrients to our target organs and make them function effectively...
- We need to consume locally made VEGETABLES also, vegetables helps in washing out toxic substances in the body, they help the body with provisions of nutrients also...
Vegetables also have their own nutrients that they provide to our body system to ensure effective functioning...
- We need to cut short on eating unhealthy oils, I mean oils full of cholesterol.. Taking too much of cholesterol can damage some organs in the body and that is why we need to watch the oil we use at all times..
We need to take refined oils, with no cholesterol, we use it for frying and cooking food in the home...
- We need carbohydrates, protein, vitamin... They are essential for our growth...they must not be too much...
Everything must be in small quantity and proportions..
- To crown it all, water is the most essential of all the classes of food, we need water so that the body target organs can function effectively...
Water intake is important before and after meal...
In conclusion, we need to be very vigilant when it comes to health issues, watch your intake and be cautious of them all...
Make sure you take more of fruits, vegetables and water for they function more in the classes of food....
