We human could have done so many development, but we can never beat the power of nature. Nature is a supreme power. It's our nature that makes our life so beautiful and meaningful. Our scholars too had same thoughts ages ago and define the power nature through these sanskrit line.
Gandhah suvarne phalamikshudande.
Naakari pushpam khalu chandanasya.
Vidvaandhanaadhyashcha Nrupashchiraayuh.
Dhaatuh puraa kopi na buddhidobhoot.
Gandhah = smell.
Suvarne = Gold.
Phalam + ikshudande.
Phalam = fruits.
Ikshudanda = the stem or cane of Sugar cane,
Na = not.
Kari = produce.
Pushpam = flowers.
Khalu = verily,truly.
Chandanasya = of the Sanydalwood tree. Vidvaan = a learned person.
Dhanaadhya = rich person.
Cha = and.
Nrupah = a King.
Chirayuh = long lived.
Dhaatuh = the cause.

The lines means Why there is no sweet smell in the Gold, no fruits grow in a stem of sugar cane, flowers are not produced by sandalwood trees, why are learned persons never rich, and why kings do not enjoy a long lifespan ? Since long ago the answer to all these questions is not known even to very wise and learned persons.
The scholar has indirectly praised the
power of the Nature before whom the Man is also like an ordinary living being. And we could not extend our control beyond certain limit.
