I woke up today to see a baby pigeon in my balcony. It was lying on the floor mat, unable to move because it is a new born baby. It was trying to figure out what to do, how to fly, maybe was searching for it's mother. Being a mom, I felt bad for it. How unfortunate it is for a new born baby to live without its mother.
The baby pigeon had a tilted neck. I'm not sure if newborn pigeons have it like that and eventually it settles but it looked as if it was hurting.
Raag loves pigeons. Every morning I take him to the balcony or downstairs for a bird watch. He shouts in excitement to see the pigeons flying around. Sometimes they come and sit in our balcony for shade and shelter. Raag cries in joy to see them. Just like that, he has so happy to see the baby pigeon. He didn't realize that the pigeon was just a baby and in pain. He was just too happy to see that a pigeon was there in his home.
I kept some rice and water for the baby pigeon to consume till the time it stays here. The next time I visited my balcony, the rice were gone. I hope the baby found them tasty.
I hope the mother comes soon to rescue its baby and the pigeon feels better and is able to fly in open air soon.
I really feel its a blessing to be able to help any one in such a scenario. It's an opportunity given by the superpower and I am happy that I was able to help the baby in anyways.
