I’m literally obsessed with natural foods and super foods. I hAve two cupboards full with reishi, morninga, spirulina, fo ti lol
But there is always a few that rly stand out. One of my fave health superfoods is Irish Sea moss. I started buying this purple ready made gel lately as my blender began smoking and I have to go collect a new one still. You can easily make it yourself though by washing the raw ( be sure and careful to not get the heat treated crispy one) seaweed thoroughly till it’s not salty then let it sit in distilled or filtered water over night and in the morning blend into a paste. Adding a little water at a time else you’ll probably end up with it too runny. It’s amazing for you in many ways buts it’s often referred to as nature Botox. Whenever I commit to it daily both eating it and smothering it on my face as a face mask for a few weeks I always get compliments about my skin. The ocean is such a vast place and home to immortal creatures, yet it is barely explored. A lot of my favourite health foods come from the sea including the sun screen tablets I take that are made from red algae and the same substance that gives salmon their red colour. The tablets protect us internally from uv rays rather than by applying ( often chemically ridden) sunscreens to our bodies.
