- Remember to use the tag "PowerClub" so the admin can find your entry for reward purposes.
The next prompt is,
A bottle washes up on the shore.
Here's my story and the screenshot.
"Give me a sign, Lord," Nina whispered by the river. After her parents' funeral, she resolved to do something meaningful with her life.
Then a bottle washed up on the shore. She picked it and pulled out a tiny paper.
It read: "Find the courage to sail beyond the horizon."
My Thoughts
I used to think when a person becomes an adult, life becomes simple. It turns out it's not so. That's when life is the hardest and often we get curveballs thrown at us. And we take responsibility for every decision we make.
I imagine this young lady whose life is going smooth until she gets the call that her parents have passed away. She's heartbroken and feels all alone. It's time to grow up. After the funeral, she's faced with making another vital devious — what next?
Luckily, while reminiscing by the river, a bottle with a message inside it washes up the shore. I guess she knows what next to do!
I hope you enjoyed this short story. Feel free to participate in this fun exercise. Thank you for visiting my blog.
