"원숭이도 나무에서 떨어질 때가 있다" "(wonsungido namueseo tteoreojil ttaega itda)"
Meaning: "Even a monkey sometimes falls from the tree"

Life happens like a rollercoaster. One minute your up and feeling like you're on top of the world. You think you have it all and you're doing well in life, however, the next minute, you're low. Feeling like you're shit and having to bear the feeling of you're stuck in life without no progress.
I have seen many people rise in life. They got to the height where they felt invincible. They felt like they have arrived. I have also seen people who are in high places, fall in life. They fall to the extent of almost being homeless. When life happens, the less prepared becomes the most affected.
Monkeys are probably the best climbers there is in the world we live in. The jump from one tree to the other. They climb even the smallest branch. All that risk to access a fruit and fill their stomach. They are not scared of how thin the branch is, rather, they are scared of how long they have to be hungry if they don't take the risk to fill their stomach.
Interestingly, monkeys also fall. Irrespective of how good they are at climbing, they fall. Some times, they fall from great heights and dislocate a few bones, but nonetheless, they get up and go back up the tree. Interesting how they don't give up in climbing.
The fall of a man is not the end of a man. One thing is certain in life, there is no way an individual can keep climbing up without consolidating or reversing a little to form a down trend. The road to the skies is full of many ups and downs. However, many people don't seem to understand this. When they fall in life (which will definitely happen), they tend to give up and remain in the spot which they fall in.
Today's quote highlights that even monkeys, great climbers, do fall too, and when they fall, they don't remain at a spot. They go back to the tree and continue climbing. Isn't that interesting?
I'm not very experienced with life to give many people advice, but one thing I know for sure is that, only weaklings allow a fall to stop them from growing. Cry if you must. Shout if you must. Get an actual punching bag to vent your anger, and frustration, if you must. Murmur if it makes you feel better. But giving up in climbing the ladder of success should never be an option.
Personally, I see myself as a contender. I am not as privileged as many people. My story is a bitter one. I wouldn't want to tell you a sob story in this post, but one thing you should know is that, my life is full of a lot of bitterness when compared to the sweetness I've tasted. Nonetheless, I don't allow all these falling and emotions stop me from reaching where I actually need to be.
So long as I'm still breathing, I would never stop trying. Grinding. Pushing. And growing. That's my purpose, I think. So, from me to you today, don't allow a fall stop you from growing. Grow, develop and progress regardless of anything.
That's all from me. Thank you for reading.
