도시 농부 - 보리 새싹 키우기 5일차🌱

🌱 This photo shows a barley sprout on day 5.
The barley sprouts have grown more than yesterday (Day 4 ).

I changed the water in the sprout planter and watered the barley sprouts with a watering can.

At home, you can sow the seeds and harvest them seven to 10 days later, when they're about 15 to 20 centimeters tall.

For this experience, I didn't use nutrient solution and LED lights for plant growth.

🌱 5일차 모습입니다.
어제 보다 보리새싹이 많이 성장하였다.

새싹 재배기의 물을 갈아주고 보리 새싹에 물뿌리개로 물을 뿌려주었습니다.

집에서 씨앗을 뿌린 뒤 7∼10일 정도 지나면 15∼20㎝ 정도로 자라는데, 이때 수확하면 된다.

이번 체험에서는 식물성장을 위한 양액과 LED 조명은 사용하지 않았다.

Here's what I've learned about hydroponics.

✅ What is hydroponics?

Hydroponics is a method of growing land plants in nutrient solution (water with a nutrient medium added) without soil.
The nutrient solution allows the plants to absorb nutrients much more efficiently, which promotes growth.
Because you can control the environment in which the plants grow, you can not only increase production but also control the timing of harvest.
You can produce fresh produce even in areas where it's difficult to grow crops.

🌱 What you need for hydroponics

1. seeds or seedlings
   Lay out a kitchen towel, dampen it with water, and place the seeds on it (the ideal temperature for germination is 20 to 25 degrees).

2. sponge
   Once sprouts appear and roots grow, transfer them to the sponge.
   

3. nutrient solution
   Add nutrient solution when the main leaves start to emerge.
   Adjust the concentration of the nutrient solution according to the growing season.

4. Seedling plate
   When they are young, grow them in closely spaced seedling plates.
   When they have 3 or 4 leaves, grow them in widely spaced seedling plates.
   

🌱 Optionally, prepare additional

1. LED( Light Emitting Diode ) for plant growth
   Since sunlight is often scarce, get LED lights to help your plants grow.

Plants have physiological responses to different wavelengths of light.
The blue light of 400nm~500nm wavelength helps plants photosynthesize and the red light of 640nm~700nm wavelength helps plants grow.
So we only produce 450nm and 660nm light to help plants grow.

1. TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) meter
   A device that allows you to see the concentration of nutrients in a nutrient solution numerically.

수경재배에 대해 제가 배운 내용은 다음과 같다.

✅ 수경재배란 ?

수경재배는 육상식물을 토양없이 양액(영양배지를 첨가한 물)에서 키우는 방식이다.
양액을 공급받게 되면 식물을 훨씬 효율적으로 양분을 흡수하여 성장이 촉진되는 효과가 있다.
식물의 생육환경을 세밀하게 통제할 수 있기 때문에 생산량 증대뿐 아니라 수확시기의 조절이 가능하다.
작물을 키우기 힘든 지역에서도 신선한 농작물의 생산이 가능하다.

🌱수경재배를 위한 준비물

1. 씨앗 또는 모종
   키친타올을 깔고 물을 적셔 씨앗을 올려둡니다.(발아 적정온도 20 ~ 25도 )
2. 스펀지
   싹이 띄고 뿌리가 자라나면 스펀지로 옮겨줍니다.
   
3. 양액
   본잎이 나오기 시작하면 양액을 추가해 줍니다.
   성장기에 따라 양액의 농도를 조절해 줍니다.
4. 모종판
   육모일때는 다닥다닥 붙어있는 모종판에서 키우고
   본잎이 3~4장 나오면 간격이 넓은 모종판에서 키웁니다.
   

🌱 옵션으로

1. 식물 생장용 LED(Light Emitting Diode)
   햇빛이 부족한 경우가 많으므로 식물 성장을 돕는 LED 조명을 준비한다.

식물은 빛의 파장에 따라 생리 반응을 합니다.
식물 광합성에 도움을 주는 400nm~500nm 파장의 청색 빛과 640nm~700nm파장의 적색 빛을 이용하여 식물 생장에 도움을 주는 조명입니다.
그래서 식물생장에 도움을 주는 450nm와 660nm의 빛 만을 생성합니다.
