This is my latest Korean drama obsession, and the latest k series that i have watched, and this point id say im fully immersed in Korean series and also I think at this point, I am fully down the K drama rabbit hole! I absolutely binge watched it yesterday night and honestly, it was amazing. At one point, I was literally on the verge of tears because it hits so incredibly hard. It hit like another Korean series i watched called “tomorrow”. I cried my eyes out watching it, i cried almost every episode but that will be another topic for discussion some other week. This is about Deaths game and I really loved watching it, and I had to come on here to rant about it because I just can’t keep quiet. If you haven’t seen it yet, you are seriously missing out on a masterpiece.
So the whole concept of this show is wild, but in a very unique and emotional way. The story follows a guy called Choi Yee jae, a guy who is completely down on his life after struggling to find a job for years, losing his savings, and experiencing a massive heartbreak. In a moment of absolute despair, he decides to end his life, but instead of everything just fading to black, he wakes up in a mysterious dark realm and encounters an entity known simply as Death. Death is insulted by his casual attitude toward dying, so as a punishment, she forces him to play a game, the game is he has to experience death 12 more times through 12 different bodies. Hence the name of the show “Deaths game”
The show kicks off from the very first episode and i love series that kick off from the first episode, no need for 5 episodes building up what the series is all about. Without giving up much spoilers the protagonist is thrown into the bodies of people who are just minutes away from dying, some are in a crashing private jet, some are secret agents, high schoolers facing severe bullying and all that. The catch is, if he can figure out a way to survive the imminent death waiting for that specific body, he gets to live out the rest of that person's life. He goes from being someone who threw his life away to someone desperately fighting for every single second of survival and that is the plot of the series, without me giving away too much.
With this series you get this brilliant puzzle where pieces of information are handed to you bit by bit. There are hidden truths and unexpected twists that keep you guessing. Just when you think you understand the pattern, same as the protagonist , the show throws a curveball that changes everything.
I also have to talk about the acting and the cast in this series, because choi keeps switching bodies, different top tier actors step in to play him in almost every episode, and they all do an incredible job mirroring his original personality while dealing with their own unique struggles. This is definitely a must watch show.

이 시리즈의 연기와 캐스트에 대해서도 이야기해야 합니다. 최가 계속 몸을 바꾸기 때문에, 거의 매 에피소드마다 다른 최고 배우들이 그를 연기하게 되는데, 그들은 각자 고유한 고난을 겪으면서도 그의 원래 성격을 훌륭하게 재현해냅니다. 이건 정말 꼭 봐야 할 쇼입니다.
