Lets start with the big news: I started an NFT gallery for VagabondSpirit. My first acquisition is a ring of power.
Apparently this ring is being tossed into Mt Doom. So, I decided I don't want to hold on to it for too long lest I suffer the ring's fate; So I put it up for resale for one SWAP.HIVE over the acquisition price.
Pictures in the gallery are for resale.
I would like to use NFT pieces in the Vagabond Spirit game. I acquired a second piece that I placed in a collection. Vagabond Spirit Collection. Pieces in the collection are not for resale.
Now for the boring accounting stuff.
I decided to revalue the OMA Coin. I created the coin as a utility token for a project I am developing. To start I will use the coin for selling advertising and stock photos.
The site builds on the theme of monetary history. The US dollar was based on the Spanish Dollar. Apparently, people used to slice coins into eight bits. So, I wanted the starting price to be based on the traditional concept of a bit.
The price of HIVE was extremely low back in December. So, I decided to value the coin as an eighth of a US dollar. 1 / 8 = .125; So, I valued the coin at $0.125. This was just a little below the price of HIVE at the time.
The price of HIVE soared. I also started to worry about Biden's policies triggering inflation. So, I decided to fall back on my original idea which was to base the price on the price of silver. The traditional dollar had odd weights. The Morgan Dollar had something like 0.7734 troy ounces of silver. Modern silver rounds have standardized on 1 troy ounce.
Kitco told me that silver was trading at $25 per ounce today. An eighth of $25 is $3.125 . CoinGecko told me that the price of HIVE was $0.701 . $3.125/0.701 is 4.458.
So, I placed a buy order at 4.45 HIVE and a sale order at 4.46.
As part of the revaluing, I sent about 95% of the coins to null in a huge burn.
Burning this coin does nothing as it is just a utility token used on an aternative site.
I will set the price for advertising on my site as 100,000 ads for one silver dollar. I will give a fifty percent discount to people who buy ads with OMA. The OMA price would be 25,000 ads for one OMA.
The coin is not pegged to the price of silver. What I am doing is pricing the products on my site in silver and giving people who buy the product with my HIVE Engine token a better rate.
The coin is not an investment. I am experimenting with different ways to do commerce on HIVE.
In summary. I decided to set the price of ads at 100,000 ads for one ounce of silver (currently $25.00). This is a great CPC. I will sell 25,000 ads for one OMA. This is a phenomenal price. If you want to buy ads, you can contact me and I will design the ad and negotiate the exact rate.
