I would like to share the Flamingo breakfast village in the Çatalca district of Istanbul, where I went with my uncle last weekend. It's a place we haven't been before and it's really beautifully decorated, prepared and landscaped. We did not expect it to be such a beautiful place.
The idea of coming here is a decision taken on the way. Let's continue with the beginning of the travel story. My uncle; Sometimes it's someone who wants to go somewhere on the weekends and relax, as we say. Again, me and my cousin were in his plan for a weekend. But my cousin couldn't come with us because guests were coming to their house. Me and my uncle set out for Edirne, which was our first intention. I booked a hotel there. We left early on Saturday morning. But on the way, we thought that Edirne was too far for a short trip, and instead we searched for some hotels around Silivri. On the way, we chose a five-star hotel among the hotels I checked on my mobile phone and booked a place for one night. (I'll post about the hotel later because it didn't deserve five stars.)

Geçen hafta sonu amcamla birlikte gittiğimiz, İstanbul'un Çatalca ilçesinde bulunan Flamingo kahvaltı köyünü paylaşmak istiyorum. Daha önce gelmediğimiz ve gerçekten çok güzel süslenmiş, hazırlanmış, peyzaj yapılmış bir yer. Bu kadar güzel bir yer olacağını tahmin etmemiştik.
Buraya gelme fikri ise, yola çıkarken alınmış bir karar. Gezi hikâyesinin başlangıcıyla devam edelim. Amcam; bazen hafta sonları bir yerlere gidip, bizim tabirimizle kafa dinlemek isteyen birisi. Yine bir hafta sonu için planında ben ve kuzenim vardık. Fakat kuzenim, evlerine misafir geleceği için bizimle gelemedi. Ben ve amcamda ilk olarak niyetimiz olan Edirne'ye doğru yola çıktık. Orada bir otelde yer ayırtmıştım. Cumartesi sabahı erkenden yola çıktık. Fakat yolda giderken kısa bir gezi için Edirne'nin fazla uzak olduğunu düşündük ve bunun yerine Silivri taraflarında biraz otel araştırdık. Yolda giderken mobil üzerinden baktığım oteller arasında beş yıldızlı bir otel seçtik ve bir gecelik yer ayırttık. (Otel hakkında daha sonra bir paylaşım yapacağım çünkü beş yıldızı hak etmiyordu.)
Of course, since we set off early in the morning, we wanted to have breakfast on the way and again, we searched over the phone and looked for places to have breakfast in a nice place.
We looked at the breakfast places of Çatalca district on the internet because Çatalca is one of the important districts that have village breakfasts or beautiful landscaped places and serve the food industry. It is a place with natural food restaurants because of its nature and because it is a high and brutally undeveloped district. Çatalca is already a bit famous in this regard.
Flamingo Village was the first place with the highest votes in the applications I looked on the internet. (My purpose here is not to advertise the place, but just to tell about a place I've been to.)
The most important and perhaps the only reason why it is called a Flamingo village is that it is home to many Flamingos. There were a lot of flamingo birds. Of course, there were not only flamingos in such a beautifully landscaped place and in a place that hosted a special bird. There were also many poultry, rabbits, cats, dogs, and possibly small cattle in different parts.
Tabi, sabah erken yola çıktığımız için kahvaltıyı yolda yapmak istedik ve yine telefon üzerinden araştırarak güzel bir yerde kahvaltı yapacağımız yerlere baktık.
İnternet üzerinden Çatalca ilçesinin kahvaltı yerlerine baktık çünkü Çatalca bu şekilde köy kahvaltılarının veya güzel peyzajlı yerlere sahip olup da yemek sektörüne hizmet eden önemli ilçelerden biridir. Doğası itibariyle ve henüz yüksek ve vahşice imara açılmamış bir ilçe olduğu için doğal yemek restoranlarına sahip bir yer. Zaten Çatalca biraz da bu konuda meşhurdur.
İnternet üzerinden baktığım uygulamalarda ilk olarak ve en yüksek oy oranına sahip yemek mekanı olarak Flamingo Köyü çıktı. (Amacım burada mekanın reklamını yapmak değil, sadece gittiğim bir yeri anlatmak.)
Flamingo köyü olarak adlandırılmasının en önemli ve hatta belki tek sebebi orada birçok Flamingoya ev sahipliği yapıyor olması. Bir sürü flamingo kuşu vardı. Tabi bu kadar güzel peyzaj olarak düzenlenmiş bir yerde ve kuş türlerinden özel bir kuşa ev sahipliği yapan bir yerde sadece flamingolar yoktu. Aynı zamanda birçok kümes hayvanı, tavşanlar, kediler, köpekler ve muhtemelen farklı kısımlarında küçükbaş hayvanları da bulunuyordu.
When we reached the flamingo village, we did not know that we would encounter such a big place. There were about nine different seating and service areas that I counted. At the first entrance there was a cash register where the entrance fee was taken after passing by the three-story building that was probably the owner's home. Here you do not pay after the service, you pay at the entrance for many things that have already been prepared. And we were a little surprised about it because the fee was so high. In fact, the price may still be reasonable due to the unlimited service inside and the unlimited food and beverage, but it was too much because we paid 560 TL for two people.
Flamingo köyüne ulaştığımızda bu kadar büyük bir yerle karşılaşacağımızı bilmiyorduk. Yaklaşık olarak benim saydığım dokuz farklı oturma ve servis bölümünün olduğuydu. İlk girişte muhtemelen mülk sahibinin evi olan üç katlı binanın yanından geçtikten sonra giriş ücretinin alındığı bir kasa vardı. Burada hizmetten sonra ücreti ödemiyorsunuz zaten hazırlanmış birçok şeyden ötürü girişte ücret ödüyorsunuz. Ve bu konuda biraz şaşırdık çünkü ücret çok yüksekti. We really liked the garden landscapes at the entrance. I even took so many photos that I had to divide this post into three. I want to make two more posts about this place. Each post will have different content and impressions from the next.

In this resting facility; There are many types of small rabbits. They were so sweet. You always want to take care of them, but when you see, there is a large flock of flamingos in front of you.
For the first time, you can be amazed to see a flamingo live and up close. Flamingos are one of the most interesting and beautiful bird species with their interesting physical structures and reddish-pink colors. Even in a lake or pond where there is a flock of flamingos, you seem to see that the entire surface is painted red and it is astonishing.

Bonus: Falmingo; it is also a type of 'crane bird'. And 'Allı Turnam', which is mentioned in our song, was actually sung for flamingos.
