Gece 12 de çıktığımız yolda ilk durağımız Gaziantep-Nurdağı oldu. Gündüz saat 3 Te varabildik. Yollar yardım tırları ile doluydu. Haliyle trafik vardı.
Gaziantep-Nurdağı was our first stop on the way we set out at 12 am. We arrived at 3 am during the day. The roads were full of aid trucks. There was still traffic.
Bir yardım eli olacaktık. Toplam 44 kişiyiz.
We would be a helping hand. We are 44 people in total.
Yarılmış yollar. Yolda bekleyen afetzedeler. Beton yığını haline gelmiş evler. Gördüğümüz manzaralar çok acı.
Broken roads. Disaster survivors waiting on the road. Houses turned into concrete piles. The scenes we see are very painful.
Eşyalar ne kadar değersizmiş anladım. Hayatımızdaki insanlara korkmadan sevdiğimizi söylemeliyiz. Duygularımızı saklamadan yaşamalıyız. Kırmadan birbirimizi yaşamalıyız. Sevmeliyiz. Birlik olmalıyız. Tıpkı bugünlerde olduğu gibi.
I realized how worthless things are. We need to tell the people in our lives that we love them without fear. We must live without hiding our feelings. We must live without hurting each other. We must love. We must be united. Just like nowadays.
Ardından Afad deposuna geldik. Burası yardımlar ile dolmuş taşmıştı. Tüm bu ürünleri, gıdaları sınıflamamız gerekiyordu. Bir araç yardım getirirken başka bir araç ihtiyaç sahibine ulaştırmak üzere yükleme yapmaya geliyordu.
Sürekli bir hareket halinde olan bu alanda 5 saat çalıştık.
Geceyi otobüste geçiren bizler için durum kolay değildi.
Ben gıda bölümünden sorumluydum. Gelen gıda ürünlerinin bölmelerini ayarlıyor ve yönlendiriyordum. Aynı şekilde yardım almaya gelenlere istedikleri gıdanın yerini gösteriyordum.
Then we came to Afad warehouse. This place was overflowing with donations. We had to classify all these products, foods. While one vehicle was bringing aid, another vehicle was coming to load to deliver it to the needy.
We worked for 5 hours in this field, which is in constant motion.
The situation was not easy for us who spent the night on the bus.
I was in charge of the food department. I was arranging and directing the compartments of incoming food products. In the same way, I was showing the place of the food they wanted to those who came to get help.
