Motitas Wants to Be My Dog
This is unofficially Motitas, a little dog abandoned to his fate on a dreadful night when his owners left him behind.
I used to see him in passing, coming and going, and always assumed he belonged to a neighbor—since around here, almost everyone lets their dogs roam the streets without collars or identification tags.
He looked so skinny it broke my heart, so little by little we tried to get him to come closer to our shop. Even though he’s super sweet, he was wary at first… Who knows what else they did to him besides abandoning him.
For several weeks now, we’ve been feeding him dog kibble from the window, because we don’t want to risk bringing him into the yard and having our psychopathic neighbors poison him—like they did with Mágica, who survived thanks to the first aid my father gave her, but was left with only six lives.
It’s terrible to witness how cruel humans can be to animals who only want someone to love—like Motitas, who always greets us with the most enthusiastic tail wags.
I wish we could adopt him, but as I said, our psychopathic neighbors didn’t hesitate to throw out their three female dogs just because they didn’t want to feed them. And when the police came to investigate after my report, they quickly got rid of the evidence.
Sometimes I think that although Animal Protection didn’t save them, maybe at least they had a quick death—because dying slowly of hunger must be unbearable.
There’s no justice for humans, and even less for animals like Motitas, who must suffer the consequences of the authorities’ neglect and people’s cruelty.
Motitas quiere ser mi perro
Este es extraoficialmente Motitas, ya que es un perrito librado a su suerte que en una noche abominable fue abandonado por sus dueños.
Lo veía siempre de paso cuando iba y venía y siempre supuse que era de algún vecino, ya que aquí casi todo el mundo deja a sus perros deambular por las calles sin collar y sin placas de identificación.
Lo veía tan flaquito que me daba mucha pena, así que de a poco intentamos que se acerque a nuestro negocio. Aunque es super tierno, desconfiaba al principio ... Quién sabe qué más le habrán hecho además de abandonarlo.
Hace ya unas semanas le estamos dando balanceado para perro desde la ventana, porque no queremos arriesgarnos a meterlo en el patio y que los vecinos psicópatas que tenemos lo envenenen, como hicieron con Mágica que sobrevivió gracias a los primeros auxilios que le brindó mi padre, pero quedó con 6 vidas.
Es terrible ver cómo el ser humano llega a ser tan cruel con los animales que lo único que quieren es tener a alguien a quien dar su amor , como Motitas, que siempre nos brinda sus más efusivas moviditas de cola.
Ojalá pudiéramos adoptarlo, pero como dije, mis vecinos psicópatas no dudaron en tirar a sus 3 perras, porque no querían darles comida, y cuando la Policía se fue a averiguar tras mi denuncia, rápidamente se deshicieron de la evidencia.
A veces pienso en que aunque Defensa Animal no los salvó, tal vez al menos tuvieron una muerte rápida, ya que morir lentamente de hambre debe ser terrible.
No hay justicia para los humanos, y mucho menos para los animales, que como Motitas deben sufrir las consecuencias de la desidia de las autoridades y la maldad de las personas.
