At the end of the year, we usually set goals for ourselves. For me, the purpose of this is to focus our efforts on achieving those goals. To be honest, I've never been one to do that, but for the past three years, I have been setting goals, not necessarily at the end of the year, but sometime in January, mainly to get organized and to avoid spending money on something that, while it might be useful, is not necessarily a priority.
For example, last year I focused on changing both my bed and my mattress, so I concentrated on saving up the money for that and more. Before I had the money in my hands, I researched prices and different brands because I didn't want to buy the first thing that came along and end up with something that wasn't good quality, since rest is important and we shouldn't be wasting money.
This more thoughtful and organized experience reminded me of the importance of lists to help us organize ourselves and do what we might call market research before buying something. First, we should like it; second, it should be within our budget; and third, it should be of good quality. I know that all of the above isn't always possible, but I managed to do it basically because I had been studying prices and took advantage of a Black Friday sale.

Now, for this year, I have two or three purchases in mind, but I've prioritized them from the most important to what can be done later or is less important. I've even included some pending items on my list that need to be taken care of. We all know that there's always something to repair, fix, or change at home; in short, there's always something to solve.
For this year, my priority is to buy a new stove, since the one I have hasn't been very good, so it's definitely a purchase I'll make. I've been visiting stores to look at quality rather than prices, because everything looks nice in photos, but it's another thing to go and see it in person. I'm really in love with one that costs $500, but since there are other things to take care of, I've looked for other options that also guarantee quality but at a lower price.
The other thing I want to buy and install this year is a tank. It's true that I already have a cylindrical one inside the apartment, but the water service crisis is getting worse and worse, because there is no longer any certainty about when the water will arrive, and on some occasions the main pipe breaks and we have been without service for up to two weeks, not to mention the time we were without water for a month and a half and never knew why.

So my other goal is to buy a tank of at least 1,500 liters. I really wanted one with a larger capacity, but that would mean placing it in another area and incurring other expenses, so for now I have to opt for a less ambitious plan, but one that allows me to have more water available in case of an emergency.

Al finalizar el año solemos fijarnos metas, el objeto de esto, para mí es enfocar nuestros esfuerzos hacia la realización de esa o esas metas, con sinceridad nunca he sido de las que hace eso, pero desde hace unos tres años me he fijado metas, no precisamente al finalizar el año, pero lo hago en algún punto del mes de enero, más que todo para organizarme y al tener dinero en la mano no gastarlo en algo que si bien podría ser útil no necesariamente es la prioridad.
Por ejemplo, el año pasado me centré en cambiar tanto mi cama como mi colchón, así que me enfoque en reunir el dinero para ello y más allá, antes de tener un monto en mis manos investigue precios y diferentes marcas, porque no quería comprar lo primero que me pasara por delante y terminara comprando algo que no fuera de calidad, ya que el descanso es importante y además no estamos para estar desperdiciando dinero.
Esta experiencia que fue más meditada y organizada me recordó lo importante de las listas para organizarnos y de hacer lo que podríamos llamar un estudio de mercado para comprar algo, primero que nos guste, segundo que este dentro de nuestro presupuesto y tercero que sea de calidad, sé que no siempre es posible todo lo anterior, pero yo lo logre básicamente porque venía estudiando los precios y justamente aproveche una oferta del Black Friday.
Ahora bien, para este año tengo dos compras o tres en mente, pero las he priorizado desde lo más importante hasta lo que puede hacerse luego o menos importante, incluso he incluido en mi lista algunos pendientes que hay que atender, todas sabemos que en casa nunca falta algo por reparar, arreglar o cambiar en fin siempre hay algo que resolver.
Para este año mi prioridad es comprar una cocina nueva, ya que la que tengo no ha salido muy buena, así que es sin duda una compra que si o si haré, he estado visitando tiendas para ver desde ya, más que precios, calidad, porque en fotos todo se ve lindo, pero otra cosa es ir a ver, la verdad estoy enamorada de una con el precio de 500 dólares, pero como hay también algo más que atender, pues he buscado otras opciones que también me garanticen calidad, pero a un precio menor.
Lo otro que deseo comprar e instalar este año es un tanque, es cierto que ya tengo uno cilíndrico dentro del apartamento, pero la crisis con el servicio de agua cada vez va peor, porque ya no hay ni certeza de cuando llega el agua, además de que en algunas oportunidades se rompe la tubería matriz y hemos estado hasta dos semanas sin servicio y ni hablar de una vez que estuvimos mes y medio sin agua y nunca se supo el motivo.
Por lo que mi otra meta es comprar un tanque de al menos 1500 litros, la verdad quería uno de mayor capacidad, pero eso implicaba colocarlo en otra área y hacer otros gastos, por lo que por ahora debo optar por un plan menos ambicioso, pero que me permita tener disponible mayor cantidad de agua en caso de una emergencia.
Así que básicamente, estas son dos de las compras que deseo materializar este 2025, me despido de Ladies of Hive Community Contest #247
