Hi, my name Ai Chan and I'd like introduce myself to the Hive Community. Since I have gotten now multiple requests to proof that I am not an imposter of Aichanbot. here we go...
Ai am not a person of many words, usually I let my work/action speak for itself and prefere learning by doing. So writing this blog is really challenging for me. This is also the first blog i have ever made on the whole internets, so please have mercy with me.

Ich bin kein Mensch der vielen Worte, normalerweise lasse ich meine Arbeit/Tätigkeit für sich selbst sprechen und ziehe es vor, durch Handeln zu lernen. Daher ist das Schreiben dieses Blogs eine echte Herausforderung für mich. Dies ist auch der erste Blog, den ich jemals im Internet geschrieben habe, also habt bitte Nachsicht mit mir.
So where does Ai Chan come from?
My parents are chinese immigrants in Germany. I was born in the far far east in a city called Shanghai. A baby picture of me would be still in black and white. Eventhough I look like ellen page in hard candy, I am ancient as this movie below is. Kudos to the people who enjoy great cinema :)
Meine Eltern sind chinesische Einwanderer in Deutschland. Ich wurde im fernen Osten in einer Stadt namens Shanghai geboren. Ein Babyfoto von mir wäre noch in schwarz-weiß. Auch wenn ich wie Ellen Page in Hard Candy aussehe, bin ich so alt wie dieser Film unten. Hut ab vor den Menschen, die großes Kino genießen :)
So how did I end up on hive?
Well no matter how far from the east I got, I was born a weeb and huge fan of anime and manga pop culture. These are truly Asian Genes, cannot be denied. When I went to school I always wanted to learn japanese, because I wanted to consume japanese pop culture in its original language. I am a huge simp for voice actor hikaru midorikawa. lmao
Egal, wie weit ich mich vom Osten entfernt habe, ich wurde als Weeb und großer Fan der Anime- und Manga-Popkultur geboren. Das sind wirklich asiatische Gene, das lässt sich nicht leugnen. Als ich zur Schule ging, wollte ich immer Japanisch lernen, weil ich die japanische Popkultur in ihrer Originalsprache konsumieren wollte. Ich simpe den Synchronsprechers Hikaru Midorikawa. lmao

My parents disliked my interest for manga & anime, cause we are Chinese and Japan invaded China during WWII. Also according to them chinese will be world language by 2020. So I should stick with my chinese studies. I did what I was supposed to do and taught my self to read and write Japanese, beside my mandarin non existent studies and my Cantonese practice by watching great Hong Kong Cinema :D I was a teen and there was no duolingo or ipad then. I learned it by reading mangas, japanese magazines, watching anime and j-dorama. Today I am a quadro lingual geek speaking german, english and chinese on native level with japanese on business level.
Meine Eltern mochten mein Interesse an Manga und Anime nicht, weil wir Chinesen sind und Japan im Zweiten Weltkrieg in China einmarschiert ist. Außerdem sagen sie, dass Chinesisch bis 2020 Weltsprache sein wird. Also sollte ich weiterhin mein Chinesisch üben. Ich habe getan, was ich tun wollte, und mir selbst das Lesen und Schreiben von Japanisch beigebracht, neben meinem nicht vorhandene Mandarin selbst studium und meiner Kantonesisch Übungen, indem ich mir tolle Hongkong-Filme angesehen habe :D Ich war ein Teenager und damals gab es weder Duolingo noch ipad. Ich habe Japanisch durch das Lesen von Mangas, japanischen Magazinen, Anime und J-Dorama gelernt. Heute bin ich ein viersprachiger Geek und beherrsche Deutsch, Englisch und Chinesisch wie ein Muttersprachler und Japanisch auf Business Level
With that obsession about japans pop culture came a insatable hunger for the internet and computing. When I got my first desktop PC my parents told the vendor to not build in a graphic card, so I won't be able to listen to music and play videogames. The first thing I did -> Internet -> Yahoo -> how to build in your graphic card and there I was watching anime on my pc until 3 AM. But no worries, my Grades were always excellent because we have different standard for asian Children.
Mit dieser Obsession von der japanischen Popkultur kam ein unstillbarer Hunger nach dem Internet und dem Computer. Als ich meinen ersten Desktop-PC bekam, sagten meine Eltern dem Verkäufer, er solle keine Grafikkarte einbauen, damit ich nicht in der Lage sei, Musik zu hören und Videospiele zu spielen. Das erste, was ich tat, war -> Internet -> Yahoo -> wie man eine Grafikkarte einbaut, und schon genoß ich bis 3 Uhr morgens Animes auf meinem PC. Aber keine Sorge, meine Noten waren immer ausgezeichnet, weil wir andere Standards für asiatische Kinder haben.
I have a feeling that asian kids are super human, we go to school have excellent degrees, help our parents in their restaurants and we still find time for our passion and feel under challenged by western schooling system. So I had a lot of free time to watch anime, read manga, draw manga, making cosplay and play videogames.. Also I found a way to redirect my animes from desktop pc to VHS. That was huge and I would share it within the german anime community for some cash. This is how I financed my first dreamcast. Still most underrated videogame console of all time. I could write a whole blog post about why Dreamcast was best videogame console lmao Yeah, I am a retro gamer at heart, too.
Ich habe das Gefühl, dass asiatische Kinder übermenschlich sind. Wir gehen zur Schule, haben hervorragende Abschlüsse, helfen unseren Eltern in ihren Restaurants und finden trotzdem noch Zeit für unsere Leidenschaft und fühlen uns vom westlichen Schulsystem unterfordert. So hatte ich viel Freizeit, um Anime zu schauen, Manga zu lesen, Manga zu zeichnen, Cosplay zu machen und Videospiele zu spielen. Außerdem habe ich einen Weg gefunden, meine Animes vom Desktop-PC auf VHS zu ziehen. Das war großartig und ich habe es in der deutschen Anime-Community für etwas Taschengeld geteilt. So habe ich meine erste Dreamcast finanziert. Immer noch die am meisten unterschätzte Videospielkonsole aller Zeiten. Ich könnte einen ganzen Blogpost darüber schreiben, warum Dreamcast die beste Videospielkonsole war und ist lmao Ja, ich bin im Herzen auch ein Retro-Gamer.
Before I went to university I actually followed my passion to publish a manga in Germany. It was quite the adventure but also dream turned nightmare event. This would be another blog post. I would draw and play video games all night long. Weeb..

The whole mangaka experience put me down to earth, motivated me also to study international business management for bachelor and masters. Thanks to my bachelor studies I was able to study abroad in Japan. A whole year of weebing around in Nagoya and Tokyo, Yokohama. Akihabara and Ikebukuro every weekend. Only I know where my scholarship money went lmao
Die ganze Mangaka-Erfahrung hat mich auf den Boden der Tatsachen geholt und mich auch dazu motiviert, internationale Betriebswirtschaft im Bachelor und Master zu studieren. Dank meines Bachelorstudiums konnte ich im Ausland in Japan studieren. Ein ganzes Jahr lang trieb ich mich in Nagoya und Tokio, Yokohama, herum. Akihabara und Ikebukuro jedes Wochenende. Nur ich weiß, wo mein Stipendiengeld geblieben ist lmao

Thanks to my east asian economics degree and my japanese language skills I landed a project management job with mercedes benz. It was the best JOB I ever had, the team was awesome and the project was pioneering, as well as the result / product / EQC - best electric vehicle of all time :P

Dank meines ostasiatischen Wirtschaftsstudiums und meiner japanischen Sprachkenntnisse habe ich einen Job im Projektmanagement bei Mercedes Benz bekommen. Es war der beste JOB, den ich je hatte, das Team war großartig und das Projekt war Pioniersleistung, ebenso wie das Ergebnis / Produkt / EQC - das beste Elektrofahrzeug aller Zeiten :P

So I turned engineer like all asian parents want.
But something very personal and life changing hit me. My dad had an aneurysm and was close to death for almost half a year, he is still tomato now and I am still collecting donations for his electric wheelchair, that would also be another story, oh boy :/ So beside Mercedes I had a lot on my shoulders for about 3-4 years. But at one point I realized that life is short and I should spend my lifetime with something that matters to me and is fun for me to do. So I went full time content creator and quit my job at mercedes benz.
Aber etwas sehr lebensveränderndes hat mich getroffen. Mein Vater hatte ein Aneurysma und war fast ein halbes Jahr lang dem Tod nahe, jetzt ist er immer noch Tomate und ich sammle immer noch Spenden für seinen Elektrorollstuhl, das wäre auch eine andere Geschichte, oh Mann :/ Also hatte ich neben Mercedes etwa 3-4 Jahre lang eine Menge auf meinen Schultern. Aber irgendwann wurde mir klar, dass das Leben kurz ist und ich meine Lebenszeit mit etwas verbringen sollte, das mir wichtig ist und das mir Spaß macht. Also wurde ich Vollzeit-Content-Creator und kündigte meinen Job bei Mercedes Benz.
I think I am the first person who quits mercedes benz secure employment for something completely unknown and risky during the pandemic, while I actually liked my job. Because most people in Germany quit their jobs only when they hate it. I actually liked my job and the people at my working place, I guess thats why they called me crazy when I left :D
Ich glaube, ich bin der erste Mensch, der während der Pandemie einen sicheren Arbeitsplatz bei Mercedes Benz für etwas völlig Unbekanntes und Riskantes kündigt, obwohl ich meinen Job eigentlich mochte. Denn die meisten Menschen in Deutschland kündigen ihren Job nur, wenn sie ihn hassen. Ich mochte meinen Job und die Leute an meinem Arbeitsplatz, deshalb nannten sie mich wohl auch verrückt, als ich ging :D
So I am a gaming content creator, my biggest followership I got from playing yu-gi-oh duel links on competive level. You can see that on my youtube channel. Duel links saved my life, because it let me forget about the waiting time in the hospital. I used to sit around 4-8 hours a day in the hospital just waiting for the doctors to tell me that my dad is still alive after the operation. Sad times, and the game grow on me for a long time before I deciced to stream and make youtube videos about it, since I mostly played it on mobilephone. I never considered content creator as a possibility before, because I was taught different. The schooling system makes our children blind to what they actually can do.
Ich bin also ein Gaming Content Creator inwzischen, größte Fangemeinde habe ich durch das Spielen von Yu-Gi-Oh Duell Links auf Wettkampfniveau erlangt. Du kannst das auf meinem YouTube-Kanal sehen. Duel Links hat mir das Leben gerettet, weil es mich die Wartezeit im Krankenhaus vergessen ließ. Früher saß ich 4-8 Stunden am Tag im Krankenhaus und wartete darauf, dass die Ärzte mir sagten, dass mein Vater nach der Operation noch lebt. Traurige Zeiten, und das Spiel ist mir lange ans Herz gewachsen, bevor ich mich entschlossen habe, es zu streamen und Youtube-Videos darüber zu machen, da ich es meistens auf dem Handy gespielt habe. Ich habe nie in Betracht gezogen, selbst Inhalte zu erstellen, weil mir etwas anderes beigebracht wurde. Das Schulsystem macht unsere Kinder blind für das, was sie tatsächlich tun können.
My personal highlight from duel links was also world championship 2019 in Berlin. I think I won't forget that for a long time on different levels. But I always felt that the company behind the game doesn't really care for their fans, they are like all big soulless companies only aiming for profit. And I really want to own my cards I have invested like over 3000 hours and 1000 Euro in that game. From here it was a no brainer, that I somehow found splinterlands on the internet. NFT card game. So I thought that might be my next gig? So I kept digging and I found the hive wallet and started research about hive community and that's how I end up here.
Mein persönliches Highlight von Duell Links war die Weltmeisterschaft 2019 in Berlin. Ich denke, das werde ich auf verschiedenen Ebenen noch lange nicht vergessen. Aber ich hatte immer das Gefühl, dass die Firma hinter dem Spiel sich nicht wirklich um ihre Fans kümmert, sie sind wie alle großen seelenlosen Firmen nur auf den Profit aus. Und ich will meine Karten wirklich besitzen, ich habe etwa über 3000 Stunden und 1000 Euro in das Spiel investiert. Von hier aus war es ein Kinderspiel, dass ich irgendwie Splinterlands im Internet gefunden habe. Ein NFT-Kartenspiel. Also dachte ich, das könnte mein nächstes Zuhause sein? Also habe ich weiter gegraben und die Hive-Wallet gefunden und angefangen, über die Hive-Community zu recherchieren, und so bin ich hier gelandet.
Long story short. I am still looking into splinterlands, but my main interest lies now with thetan arena since I am playing league of legends wild rift mainly meanwhile and thetanarena is the closest nft moba I can get to wild rift. Also I have made the experience card games are usually high invest and pay to win. Can anybody enlight me on that for splinterlands? do you have to make a new deck every 2 weeks to stay competitive?
Lange Rede kurzer Sinn. Ich schaue mir immer noch Splinterlands an, aber mein Hauptinteresse liegt jetzt bei Thetan Arena, da ich mittlerweile hauptsächlich League of Legends Wild Rift spiele und Thetanarena ist das nft moba, das Wild Rift am nächsten kommt. Auch habe ich die Erfahrung gemacht, dass Kartenspiele in der Regel Hohe Investitionen erfordern und Pay to win sind. Kann mir das jemand für Splinterlands erklären? Muss man alle 2 Wochen ein neues Deck machen, um wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben?

I used to play league of legends support main in the bot lane like all girls do. lmao but now I am pro Top, Ai should change my name.
