"It's that time of the year when all the women of Northern Rivers District gather to celebrate themselves.
It's more like a conventional meeting, and everyone gathers to intercede for their various families. This year,
The Organizers decided to make the program a bit more fun,
so they added a choral competition, indoor games, and a match. The winners would receive rewards. It was really fun to participate, and what was even more fun was seeing women indulge in really cool activities.
I was happy and full of joy, and who wouldn't be? Nowadays, women are the ones who shoulder the family burden, but for a few moments, they get to enjoy themselves and have some "me" time. (Personally, I believe every mom or every woman deserves some "me" time.)
The convention was a welcome break from the daily home drama and the chaos of caring for seven children - or should I say, seven loudspeakers! That one week was fun.
My highlight was when our section won the choral competition. It brought me so much joy because before the competition, we had put in a lot of effort with many rehearsals. Our songs were all in sync, and the efforts made to make our section the best were not in vain.
We did numerous rehearsals, and to be honest, it's not easy to lead people. I learned that from the rehearsals I attended for the choral competition. As a children's leader in my church, I've learned to be patient with them.
Sometimes, patience can take up 30 minutes of a 2-hour rehearsal just to organize the children, given their different backgrounds and families. Being a leader is indeed not an easy job.
I want to give a thumbs-up to our choir master for all the coaching and corrections that helped us reach the peak. I'm so grateful. Thank you, and thank you for reading my post!"
