The holiday that is celebrated with the greatest zeal in my country is the Independence Day which celebrated on 14th of August. This time the day came on Sunday. At the weekend I was at my mom’s home. My sister-in-law was very eager to go on the roof of the building. She told me to accompany her. It had been a long time since I went to the roof. I my brother and my sister-in-law went upstairs silently leaving kids in the home with my mom and other brothers. Actually, it is a building of flats so I didn’t want our neighbours to be disturbed because of the noise of kids at midnight.
When the clock struck 12, the fire works started enlightening the sky. It continued for half an hour.
There was sound of firing too. I tried to stay away from the boundaries of the roof and told my companions to also do the same. It is because there have happened several cases where a wandering gun shot comes from nowhere and takes the life. I am not at all in favour of any such recreational (if it can be called so) activity where the lives of people are at stake.
Leaving the couple on the roof, when I came downstairs I saw my nephews dressed in white with flag’s badges on their chest.
My younger nephew was struggling to hold the big balloon along with flag.
Hehe. He is soooo cute. He is two and a half years and communicate in such an adorable way. It is an entertainment unmatched talking to kids of this age.
When I looked at him, I wanted to make his video waving flag. I told him with hand gesture to wave . Look at his response trying to make out what I was telling him to do. 😁🥰
Finally, he understood and waved the flag.
My nephew had demanded a cake for birthday of Pakistan. He is so keen of celebrating birthdays with balloons and cakes. The cake was ordered which was delivered at the home.
Now, there were 4 kids (my 2 sons and my 2 nephews) who wanted to cut the cake (Tug of war..... hmmmmm!). To resolve the matter four knives ran over the cake simultaneously 😂
You can imagine the condition of the cake after facing this brutality 🤣.
The cake was enjoyed with great delight. This way the Independence Day was celebrated with sweet and lights at our home.
