I have decided to write about her when I read the news of her passing this morning.
She was one of those positive people that I was confident she will beat cancer and finish the race as a winner.
Jane Kristen Marczewski, or Nightbirde as she is affectionately known as, has passed away peacefully on 19 February 2022.
For four years, she has been battling back and forth with cancer (and a failed marriage) with only 2% of survival when she joined the America’s Got Talent (AGT) show in 2021. She was a 3 times cancer survivor before it decided to relapse again – and for good this time.
Here’s the video of the audition that change her life:
She went on to record her self-composed song, “It’s Okay” and then shared it on Spotify. The song went straight into the top charts. Since then, there were many versions of her songs sung by others on Youtube.
"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore - until you decide to be happy..." *
That is the one quote she will always be remembered for and one that inspired the world when we got hit with Covid19 pandemic.
People all over the world were looking for inspiration when times were bleak. Some just needed a spiritual lift in their darkest hour. Her story and her songs became that beacon of hope for most.
She tells a story in all her songs. Dissect it, you will literally hear messages to lift your weary soul.
All her social media postings is nothing short of her beaming with smiles and that reminded you to be grateful with everything that you have because unlike you – she lives for the moment because she doesn’t know when her time is up.
She wants to be remembered as that person that will never give up even when her sickness puts her on a countdown mode.
Her last video before her untimely passing:
Rest in peace now Nightbirde, you have gained yourself a pair of beautiful silver wings and singing your way to heaven.
We will always remember the beautiful work you have left behind.
From a fan of your work and spirit. Always.
XOXO,
Angie
