Hmmmmm... Reading or watching movies? Is it possible to actually be a lover of both? Cause you see, I love me a great book and I love me a great movie too😩.
But then again, it is said that you can't have equal love for two things I guess. So in that case, I'm going to say I'm more of a movie person. So, the thing is I love reading but I could take days reading a particular novel which kind of stresses me out, in as much as I love my ability and freedom to create the mental image of my characters in any form I want in my head, I still just want to get done with it and move to the next read.
Sometimes it's like a movie in my head that is overstretched and even though I'm tired of reading I just want to keep on going and it gets tiring. But you see moviesssssss! I'm not one to lack a good movie on my phone. I love almost all genres of movies and I love movies most importantly because I can watch more than 6 different movies in a day providing I have enough battery. Leave me with my phone and movies on it, you wouldn't even know I'm at home. Funny thing is, my love for movies was birthed not too long after my Junior secondary school when I got my first phone and my brother started giving really nice sitcoms.
I love how I practically relate with whatever situation the character I'm watching is going through. I genuinely feel the emotions the person feels, like every single one. Cause it's just so practical and how the person is just one with his/her character, how one embodies the role is amazing. I legit cry when someone cries with pain in a movie and sometimes it feels like I'm one with that person. Movies are just so relatable I can't even explain enough of it. Nigerian and foreign movies are legit great watches. I love me a good horror movie, movies like "the exorcist, incidious, truth or dare, the nun. Etc. Then you see sitcoms, the absolute love of my life, and my favorite of all time is "friends". I love friends and my favourite character was chandler bing(hhis soul rest in peace) I legit cried when he passed. Then Tyler perry's movies too like "young Dylan, all the queens men and beauty in black (my current favourite). We have Nigerian movies, I don't just watch Nigerian movies like that o, it has to genuinely pass a message and thankfully the nollywood industry is really doing great these days, like their movies are really good, they deserve their accolades trust me. The most recent one I love so much is "Broken Hallelujah" that movie is a movie with lessons to learn. Then you see movies like "A Lagos love story, Anikulapo, jagun jagun, baby farm, katangari, etc." the list goes on, then should we talk about seriesssss. I love series, a lot of people say they don't like it cause of the long wait before new seasons come out but I think that's where the excitement is, the whole anticipation. So yeah, it's safe to say I'm a movie person and I could watch movies for a living😁
