Hello, happy new year to everyone.
Over the years, I have learnt different skills due to the economic situation of my country. It was quite risky putting all your eggs in one basket. You can graduate with goods grades, but getting a good job was something one can never be sure of. I was just learning Incase any opportunity comes by, I won't be missing out on it. I wasn't really learning all these things because I love them but because I don't to ever be helpless in life. And believe me once you have to value to offer in a society or environment, you are as good as useless.
But there was something about fashion designing that caught my attention. Could it be that it's because I watched my mum making dress while growing? I can't tell what it is but one thing I know is that, I love it.
My mom refused marketing her talent. All her skills were seen on her kids. She'd always tell me that she's learned how to sew for her family and not for business. I knew then that, I am the one to finished what she started.
She was so good but the world never saw it. I'm going to show the world what she hid on her inside.
At an early age, I could paddle a sewing machine but one thing that was always a mystery to me was how my mom could cut out fabric into pieces before making a dress. It always looks complicated and confusing to me. She would always explain what she was doing whenever I'm with her. But believe me when I say nothing she ever said made sense to me then.
When I got to the higher institution, my passion and love for it grew stronger. Thank God for YouTube.
I started learning how to cut little by little and as time went by, what my mom was telling me years back began to make sense.
My biggest inspiration have always been my younger sister, she always believed I could do it. She'll always trust me with her fabrics even when I doubted myself. Thank God I never disappointed her. I can confidently say that, God was with me.
The impetus she gave me made me confident and I started making dresses for my friends as well. There were few times where I ruined their dresses but since it was for free, nobody could really complain.
This year, I'm set to becoming a professional and marketing my talent.
I have made a couple of dress for myself and I'm sure that if I can gain admission into a fashion school, I'll set the world on fire with my designs.
Sewing is one thing I find very easy to do. I so much love the fact that I can make something beautiful out of nothing from the little knowledge I gained online

So this year, I'll save up to get an industrial sewing machine cause the one I'm using currently is the manual sewing machine. An industrial is easier to work with and it's faster as well. I'll also get a manikin and a ring light.
I'll save up to go to a fashion school before the year runs out. My dream is to become very good with what I'm doing currently. cause I'm so sure I have a long way to go and there is still a lot to learn.
When I see what other designers are doing, I can't wait to get there.
