Going to a concert on Friday night
My collegue’s daughter is in a band. She does the music academy in Holland and she had a mini concert tonight. Her mum was so proud and said why don’t you join us with your husband to see the concert.
The concert was near Rotterdam in a small venue. It was half hour drive, and started at 20.00. The older kids watched the younger ones, that way we were free to join them at the concert.
The fact that they are in a band is also something the school promotes and the revenues from these mini concerts go to equipment and music instruments.
We went there and were pleasantly surprised. There were many people and the singing was great. She is only 16 but what a voice!
We stayed three hours and had a blast!
It is great to see a young lady to go after her dream. Singing is what she does best.
On to the next time and musical evening.
She made me think about Avril Levigne. She sang pink rock, ballads and pop. Very diverse. The band was two base players, a a keyboardist and a drummer. Here are some more pictures.
