We were without tv , phone and internet for three days!
That made me think of the challenge it was. For the whole family that is. For everyone on a different level and so different from when I was younger. The amount of being dependent on the internet is huge. A friend yesterday said it’s just as normal as gas or light. I am also quite dependent on tv, WiFi and telephone, I admitt. I will even say I am an addict. The kids aswell both for fun and for school. After the covid years even more and it’s normal to see that some of the things that started in covid days still are incorporated into school and professional life.
But now like we had the last three days when all is cut of it’s difficult. It’s not manageable, it’s different. And Ofcourse I say to the kids it ms just a few days untill the provider comes to fix the problems but I know it’s hard. I even had to skip a discussion about the most popular tv program this week at work because I didn’t see the season finale hahahah no problem but that’s why society and our daily lives do with all that’s visible and seen on social media and on tv. The fact it broke down Friday and was repaired on Monday was a challenge but Ofcourse we managed and yes we played a game and went to friends to watch the Grand Prix but to have WiFi, tv and internet is normal to have and not special untill you have to do without it. So my friend was right , it’s just like gas and light , you can’t do without!
Well untill you have to and you are happy you are so fortunate you have it all.
