"There is no magic to achievement. It is about hard work, choices, and persistence." - Michelle Obama
A pleasant day to all the beautiful people of the Hive! I hope you all are well and blessed today. In this blog, I will share with you my achievements and reflections before the year ends. This is also my entry in the LOH community #110 contest.
This year has been tough and full of challenges however I would rather focus on the many things and opportunities I have received which I considered my countless blessings this year.
1. Thank God, I'm alive!
My first achievement for this year is staying alive. We sometimes neglect the greatest blessing we have received every day and that is waking up in the morning and starting another day. This year, I have been sickly due to stress and self-deprivation. And it is difficult to get ill when you have two little kids around who were so clingy and always wanted to be cuddled.
I realized that it is vital to take care first of ourselves so that we can take care of others, too. Another thing, never ever deprived yourself of eating nutritious or delicious food even if the budget is very tight😅. It's not bad to treat yourself sometimes, don't devote so much on work all the time.
2. Participating in Team Building Activities
Spending quality time with people close to your heart is but an achievement for me this year. Good relationship among colleagues at work is important not only for achieving an outstanding outcome but also for our personal mental health.
This year's Team Building with co-teachers was indeed memorable. And I am delighted to have participated in it because I had spent amazing quality and FUN time with colleagues.
I realized that it is vital to establish harmonious relationships and connections among people, especially in the workplace where we spend much of our daytime. It may have a lot of drama but in the end friendship and camaraderie must prevail.
3. Family time is quality time!
Quality time with family is another achievement for me. Maybe most working moms here can relate. Because I am a working mother, I always felt that I owe so much time to my kids. That is why having able to spend quality time with them is the best achievement.
4. Recognitions and Opportunities
Every one of us has his/ her strengths, talents, and potential waiting to be unlocked and discovered. In order for this to happen, each one must be given opportunities to show it. And I am privileged to be given the opportunity to develop what I have got which I considered a great achievement so far.
Hosting or emceeing is one. This year, I was given a chance to host a seminar attended by master teachers and high-ranking officials. It was an on-the-spot opportunity but I was thankful for the opportunity to host for a day a division write shop!
In the work, it is very common for us to do our jobs diligently and decidedly because that is what we are paid for. However, it is an achievement for me to be able to be recognized for the services rendered.
I am humbled and honored by this year's recognition. I don't have to elaborate (charot...) please enjoy the photos😅.
Another opportunity: Designation Order from the District Office
I realized that this quotation really speaks the truth, "Work in silence, let the work makes the noise."
5. Producing Academic Achievers
Every teacher's dream is to see the students excel in their academics. It is a priceless achievement indeed.
This year we were able to produce academic achievers as the school year ends. In the same year, another school year begins and another set of achievers is fulfilling my dream.
I would say that achievers are born but some are made. And we, teachers, are a contributing factor in producing achievers who will prepare them for the wrath of the real world.
6. Receiving Students' Love and Thoughtfulness
One of the things that happened this year that I also considered an achievement was the celebration of World Teachers' Day where I received a surprise from my 7th-grade
students. At every celebration in school, I don't expect much from my grade 7 because I thought, they are still very young for initiating surprises on their own.
Then, I was very wrong. I underestimated them. They surprised me better than the previous years. And my heart was full of love from their love and thoughtfulness. It was not grandiose but I felt the sincerity. That, for me, matters the most.
Our happy faces! What an achievement!
Reflecting on this brought me something to ponder that in this world, happiness is itself an achievement! So, be happy🥰.
7. Blogging Journey in the Hive
October 2022 was the best of the best achievements I have ever received. It was when I was invited, introduced, and mentored by and
to the amazing world in the Hive. Why this becomes the best? Because this journey allows me to write and share my post with a bigger audience/readers (and earning from it is a big bonus🥰).
I have never imagined myself blogging but I am still in disbelief that in less than a month and a half, I was able to publish ten blogs🤩 (isn't that amazing?😂).
You can never really know you can, if you wouldn't try. So, when the door of opportunity opens, never hesitate to get in. There is no harm in trying as long as you always do what is right.
That's it for now Hive friends! I hope you're happy with my achievements so far this year😅. Not so big but it is for me. And I also hope that you have something to ponder from this post and reblog if you think this is worth sharing. I would truly appreciate that.
See you on my next blog! Sending my best regards and warm big hugs!🥰🤗
