Ablación, matrimonio forzado, violación, obediencia... Esta era la vida de Asha Ismail en Somalia pero en 2001 huyó a España con su hija y 6 años después fundó Save a Girl Save a Generation, una ONG cuyo propósito es concienciar a la sociedad para erradicar la ablación en África y en el mundo entero. Aquella niña rebelde, junto a embajadoras como Maggie Civantos, transmite hoy un mensaje de esperanza y empoderamiento para los 3 millones de niñas que cada año aún sufren esta práctica en todo el mundo.

Ablation, forced marriage, rape, obedience... This was the life of Asha Ismail in Somalia but in 2001 she fled to Spain with her daughter and 6 years later she founded Save a Girl Save a Generation, an NGO whose purpose is to raise awareness in society to eradicate female circumcision in Africa and throughout the world. That rebellious girl, together with ambassadors like Maggie Civantos, today conveys a message of hope and empowerment for the 3 million girls who still suffer from this practice around the world every year.
