Sesame Halwa – An nectar tasting dessert
Semolina halwa is one of the most popular desserts in South Asia, made with semolina, milk, sugar and ghee. It is especially served at entertaining guests, religious festivals and family functions.
Seen here is fresh semolina halwa, cooked with milk. Its golden color and soft-smooth texture suggest that it is extremely delicious and perfectly prepared. The top is lightly sliced with a knife, making it easier to eat.
Easy method of making semolina halwa:
- First, heat ghee and fry semolina in it until it turns light brown in color.
- Then mix milk and sugar and stir on low heat until it becomes thick and soft.
- The taste can be enhanced with cashews, almonds or cardamom powder as desired.
- Finally, it is poured into a mold and cut into beautiful shapes with a knife and served.
This dessert is not only rich in taste but also rich in nutrients. It increases energy and is easily digested. So semolina halwa for breakfast or evening snack can be a great way to sweeten your mouth!
