'Looking back, Moving Forward' a beautiful analogy that explains the Beautiful nature of reflection on one's past and how the past can help revamp and beautify the future. This analogy encourages three things which are;
acknowledging the past.
learning from the past.
growing and improving from the past.
Growing up, I learnt to learn fast from challenges and advantages embrace them with full chest. Some of the lessons from my past is how I trust friends. I didn't have best friend, but I have someone who I thought was closer to me among my friends, I told her my family secret and unfortunately, she betrayed me and gossip about it with our other friends, this of course broke my heart and shattered my world, for years I couldn't open up to anyone about my problems and anxiety. The event taught me never to trust anyone. That singular events has taught me to be a woman of privacy and a little bit serective.
Also,there was a time in my late twenties that I went into fabrics business. I withdrew all my savings to start the business, advertise with my whole energy, but make a mistake of selling on credits, that kills the business, till today most people are still owning and I know of course they will never pay back, is now six years ago. This also taught me that selling in credit can never boost sales or business, it will rather kill it. Bringing this experience to my footwear business, that I start a year ago,anyone that wants to buy will pay in full and collect his/her good(s), or you pay half the fee front, while I keep the good till you got the balance, and that's me growing and improving in my business from my past experience.
Looking Back, Moving forward is a beautiful act, it
helps to learn from the past, focus in the present and build the future, but this can only happen when will reflect on how one failed or succeed in the past. Not all past are meant to be abandoned, some are not dark, even if they are visiting them will only give a ray of hope into the future, and no matter how ugly a past can be, visitation to it can help the Beautiful future.
