Hello to everyone, happy new week! I wish this week brings positive progress to everyone.
I must say that contests on Hive are inspiring and touching because they help show how we each handle our personal affairs, no matter the topic of the contest. I’m quite sure everyone has been hurt at some point, and at some time we’ve been offended by the actions of certain people. It’s normal for that to happen. But what about the forgiveness aspect? Because if we don’t forgive, it can affect our progress, especially if the other person involved has already moved on.
I have noticed this personally. If someone hurts me and I keep thinking about how annoying such could be. When I get angry over such person, it blocks opportunities and expectations from coming my way. But when I am at peace with myself, it doesn’t block my dreams and things I hope for have a better chance of coming true.
Here is how I handle this matter.
I once shared a story about how we made contributions at the office, and the money was entrusted to someone we trusted because of his position. I was thinking that even if he ran away with the money, it would be shameful on his part and a betrayal of others because his position was respected. But I learned the lesson of my life, when it comes to money, you must be careful how far you trust some people.
Truly, some people don’t deserve forgiveness, but for the sake of your own mental health, peace of mind, and well-being, you just have to let go. these sense of our emotions are active at such moments. It may lead to high Blood Pressure. I’m the kind of person who, once I forgive, will be very careful with you the next time.
It doesn’t mean I’m keeping grudges - but come on, you just have to be careful, especially at critical moments. Like the man who took away our contributions at my workplace , our hard-earned money that we sacrificed to make sure there was food at home for our kids. This man disappeared into thin air. He wrote a letter of resignation and kept on living his life. It wasn’t until we caught him that he produced the money that same day.
You can see how evil some people’s hearts are. So for me, I let go of grudges so that when good things want to come, I can be part of them. But I will still be very careful with such people next time. We always have to forgive because good things and expectations come to those with a free heart.
Bye for now, and thanks for reading.
