Hello! Awesome friends in the community. And of course, greetings to the esteemed judge of the week
. I appreciate yet another amazing opportunity to reflect and share a part of myself through the lens of two powerful animals that define who I am—namely, Fish and Tiger.
I particular took a keen interest in the second prompt that says:
After deep reflection, I have chosen to identify with these two animals because they both mirror who I am at the core.
Why Fishes:
Fishes symbolize depth, emotion, and imagination. They move with grace, live in peace, and respond to the world with warmth and deep sensitivity. I am a dreamer— kind, gentle, and loving person, oftentimes, people mistaken that kindness for weakness and take advantage of it, but I know their perception is wrong, I am naturally drawn to beauty, tranquility and the simplicity of nature. My creativity—whether in art, music, food, and counseling—flow from this inner softness. Like fishes, I adapt quietly, yet carry a strength far deeper than what meets the eye.
Why Tiger:
The Tiger on the other hand, stands for fire, courage, and independence. Tigers do not follow the crowd—they lead with confidence. That is also me. I value my space, I thrive best on trust, and completely shut down under control or pressure. The Tiger in me keeps me moving, it's the part of me that refuses to quit, even when things get hard. burns and refine my zeal to persist in my pursuit of something great, something true, and something worthwhile.
These animals are not just symbols—they reflect my daily choices and relationships. Although, I am a Tiger born under the sign of the fishes, that is all the more reason I chose the Tiger and fishes as my favorite animal species. I hope that decision is not selfish. I solemnly hold both fire and water within. My fish heart helps me connect deeply with others, making me an effective therapist, healer, teacher, care- giver, and advocate. My Tiger side helps me stand firm, take bold steps, and helps me rise above challenges.
In relationships, I am loyal and passionate. My husband treasures my ability to love deeply and compliment him boldly; also, both species help me to be a dedicated mother to my lovely children. However, when betrayed—whether by friends or loved ones—the Tiger in me walks away strong and dignified, while my fish side takes time to heal quietly, in peace and reflection. I do not retaliate or cause drama—I simply move on with grace and happiness.
I chose these animals because they show the full picture of me. One carries my softness, and the other my strength. Together, they represent a life of balance, where gentleness walks beside courage.
