Hello #ladiesofhive I wish everyone a prosperous New Year in advance. I am truly excited and grateful to be participating in the final prompt of the year 2025. It is a beautiful way to reflect, connect, and close the year on a meaningful note and I sincerely appreciate the community for the rare privilege extended to gentlemen to participate and contribute here. This inclusion is not taken for granted at all. Thank you for fostering a space of growth, encouragement, and mutual respect.
To welcome a new year, I believe it is important to be intentional about closing old cycles and opening myself to fresh beginnings. For me, this season is not just a change of date on the calendar, but a spiritual and personal transition. As an African man, Nigerian to be precise, I approach it from a place of faith, deep reflection and renewed purpose.
As the year comes to an end, I take time to reflect through prayer, reading valuable books that address my past challenges and quiet thinking. I have honest conversations with God, reviewing the past year with gratitude and sincerity. This moment of reflection helps me acknowledge my growth, my mistakes, and the lessons I have learned along the way. It is also a time when I consciously let go of fear, regrets, and unhealthy relationships that no longer align with the person I am becoming.
My personal customs include prayer, fasting and thanksgiving. In stillness, I find clarity. I also write down my goals, not just as wishes, but as plans backed by faith and responsibility. I now understand that writing goals is only the beginning. Prayer, planning, and action must work together for those goals to become reality.
So, entering the new year, I focus on alignment rather than pressure. I open myself to new energy by committing my plans to God and preparing my mind to act. My resolutions are no longer unrealistic lists, but intentional steps rooted in faith, discipline, and hope. With a shout out, I welcome the new year with gratitude, clarity, and a renewed commitment to growth.
