Hello Saturday!
What a mess of a morning, huh? Although not literally. Your little guy had been active most of the night and you lost a few hours of sleep trying to calm and get him to bed. He's a little menace but a darling and you love him to the moon and back. Not that you can even imagine the distance between the two.
The aftershock of the previous weeks' lack of proper rest got you so good that your body seems to be having a hard time getting back to its momentum. Well, you overdid it and can even hear that other side of you taunting, "I told you so" and you just can't argue because it's the plain truth. Sigh...
Meanwhile, your post about the reward pool stirred nerves, albeit unintentionally. You just had to share the information with others who might have missed it and perhaps exchange some thoughts in the process.
You did not want to get anyone all worked up but you were the bearer of the bad news and you knew it was inevitable. The topic is controversial after all and it concerns Hive and the rest of its userbase.
You had a bit of reflection with each comment, seeing things from other people's perspectives and respecting every one of them. You do not even have to try hard because you can see where they are coming from.
Some people came strong and it's warranted. For you too, the rewards pool is the heart of Hive and it's why most (if not everyone) of you are here in the first place. It's what feeds people in some parts of the world. It's what helps some afford the stuff they need. It's what makes this chain thrive day in and day out.
You gotta admit you cursed under your tongue when you first heard about the proposed idea for it to be completely removed. It gave that sour taste in your mouth and you just had to spit it out which you did. Well, at least civilly, and you didn't attack the person who made the proposition. You lack technical knowledge and you also want to hear the other side of the equation. These obviously prevented you from doing so or you just had a cool head. Well done, huh?
From the comments, you also learned that it wasn't the first time it was thrown out and you've become anxious to hear why it is coming back. "Be patient, it will come," that voice in your head again. You know you got to heed it.
And you will. So you found a distraction.
A really good one in the form of an audiobook - something that you have been wanting to listen to for ages but have not had the chance (excuses). You will take that today as you cuddle up with your little guy and probably fall back to sleep and get that further snooze you so absolutely need.
Or would you care for a walk instead?
Tempting, but nah...
This is more of a Freewrite than a diary. It's what I used to do when filling my journal in the past. Coincidentally, it fits perfectly in the week's prompt.
Happy weekend everyone!
