Happy 3rd Hive Birthday, Ladies of Hive! Wishing us many more thriving years on this blockchain!
The bear season is certainly long, and it challenges one's resolve when it comes to his or her crypto investments. I believe that most of us are longing for a break from all these bearish sentiments.
The good thing is that here on Hive, we have some good options (i.e. staking and earning in the process, HBD Savings among other things).
Personally, my Hive goal has not been significantly shaken by this prolonged bearishness. But I must admit there were a few times when I went into contemplative mode, asking myself whether what I was doing was something smart or perhaps I was losing opportunities instead. In the end, the greater part of me says (and the husband urges too) - just keep building. And so yeah, I'm still keeping on and growing my stacks, one day at a time.
It is not a secret that increasing my Hive Power has always been my obsession goal. Speaking of which, here's a quick preview of how it has been going over the months.
I credit all that to consistency, resolute, and of course, the supportive network (people, community, curators) - everyone who, in one way or another, is helping me grow and thrive in this ecosystem. Thank you. Gracias. Merci. Salamuch.
Meanwhile, I'm also trying to build my HBD Savings. There is no specific number in mind to date, but will just keep adding to it even at random times.
As to the purpose of the savings, I could use it for a drone, an additional budget for a trip, or for something else. Or maybe, just keep it there to take advantage of the 20% APR and to keep it compounding.
Will see...
Outreach Quest
I have read some people saying Hive needs investors and companies with big capital. It made me wonder - what are they going to invest in? I even asked someone these stupid questions: What would those companies with big capital do in Hive if they came here? Buy HIVE? Build apps? Bring their communities?
Per Dalz' update on August statistics, there are about 3.5k Hive accounts actively creating content and making comments. That's a pretty small active user base for an awesome blockchain!
That's a glaring fact that we need more users. Although Hive ecosystem has over a hundred applications (some robustly working, others not so), we need people to utilize them so they can thrive.
And that's what the Outreach campaign by Leo is trying to do - to make us (Hive users) rally together as a community and help bring more people on this blockchain and make them stick around, create content, use the apps, transact etcetera.
How?
Join the Hive community on Zealy. If you do not have an invite link, feel free to use this.
Complete tasks (some may involve following Web 2 accounts, retweeting, making comments etcetera).
If inviting people is not your thing, do not worry. That is something most of us have in common. But we don't literally do that unless we want to. I believe the campaign tasks are formatted in a way that we won't be forced to bring people ourselves, but we do it as a community through our active participation and/or involvement.
There are some perks (apart from learning and probably having fun), you will have a shot at the 5,000 HBD prize pool for the September campaign.
If you want to learn more, check this post out and hop on! Let's join the community rally through the outreach campaign.
