And I agree with you, a solo adventure can be a surprisingly wonderful and thrilling experience. We learn more about ourselves and it can be a time when you discover an innermost strength or trait you never knew you had all along. It brings out the best (and probably the worst) in you. It sharpens your decision-making skills and wakes up your adventurous side :)

Despite being an introvert a bit of socialization would also be fun

Yes. My personal experience taught me that an introvert in a foreign land can turn into an extrovert in no time, especially when you meet wonderful people.
