DEVELOPING YOURSELF AND LIFE
Hello ladies at the hive π
Hello
In the 271st round of the LADIES OF HIVE contest, hosted by the community and judged by the esteemed judge , I'm particularly intrigued by the first theme: The year has just begun! What have you decided to release to make this year better? Have you seen any small successes yet? If it's still too early, just share what you've chosen to release.
The new year isn't long; we're currently only mid-January of 2026. Every new year is a reflection on the previous year. Reflection on what I need to improve, reflection on what plans have been achieved and what haven't, and reflection on what plans I need to pursue and decide on in the new year. Of course, this is all for the sake of a more meaningful quality of life.
I remember a figure named Umar bin Khattab saying, "Evaluate yourself before judging others." This means it's appropriate to first assess ourselves, reflect on our lives in the previous year, and use those decisions to improve in the new year.
So, what decisions will I make this new year?
The decisions I always make at the turn of each year are about improving or developing my quality of life. As for plans and hopes, of course, we all have good hopes and plans. For example, I hope to establish a reading park as a manifestation of my love for education.
But all beautiful and grand plans, all hopes, start from within, meaning they begin with ourselves. There are wise words from Rumi: "Yesterday I felt clever and wanted to change the world; today I am wise and I want to change myself." This means that before we change the world, we must first change ourselves, meaning we must be ready to change into a good and wise person.
That's why I've decided to further develop and improve my quality of life: starting with the quality of my social interactions, the quality of my communication, and further increasing my knowledge. Because everything will feel easy if we know the science, and everything will feel peaceful if we are good at socializing and communicating with other people.
So, whatever our plans, whatever our hopes and aspirations for this new year, let's start by improving ourselves first.
Thank you for reading my writing. Love and happy New Year's holidays. God bless us all.
