Hi, Ladies of Hive! I found some photos back in the year 2012. So, let me reminisce about these photos and the story behind them. :D
Back in the summer when I just finished my second year of high school, it was the time of the year that I needed to learn new skills. I learned to crochet because of my mother. I learned to drive a motorbike because of my father.
When I first tried learning crochet, it was difficult because my mother was right-handed and I am a left-handed person. I cried because I had to mirror my mother just to understand what I was doing. I made it anyway and was able to crochet bags and some other things.
I saw my father teaching my brother to learn how to drive a motorbike at the age of 8 or 9 years old. Heck, I was jealous because I wanted to learn how to drive. My father said no. I insisted. I cried until he said yes.

My father used to have a Honda Econo C90 motorbike. Imagine I was 12 and my weight at that time was about 39 kilograms. The reason my father wouldn't let me drive a motorbike was because I was so lightweight I might fall and get into an accident. Or worse, my skin would get burned because of the hot machine.
For the whole summer, I managed to drive a Honda Econo. Thankfully, I got no scratches, no burns, no damaged skin, and no broken bones.
Anyway, here was me when I borrowed my brother's Suzuki Raider J motorbike. My uncle (my father's older brother) financed his motorbike. Later in a few months, he brought it to the pawnshop to get some money. Ah, what a stupid idea. I won't discuss his money problems. LOL
I already got my driver's license at this time as I was in the legal age. I took a photo using my first Samsung Galaxy phone which was cheap I can only afford.
I went to Oceanside Village in my hometown. My left hand was so red that I grip so hard the left handle of the motorbike.
A family having a picnic on a Sunday near the seashore.
Me vain with a selfie mirror. Hehe!
It was a good day. I just decided to chill near the seashore.
I just love anything purple here. My mom loved this color.
Another selfie.
My non-professional driver's license.
Having my own driver's license, I was working hard to save money to have my own motorcycle. I really wanted a Honda Scoopy because I love the retro vibes.

Indeed, I reached a certain amount worth of the Honda Scoopy but I decided to use the money to travel to different countries.
I rented a Honda Scoopy in Siquijor Island, year 2016
I rented a Honda Scoopy in Myanmar, year 2018
And I was able to drive a Honda Scoopy while traveling.
I think it was all worth it to learn how to drive a motorbike despite not having my own self-funded motorcycle. Too bad, my driver's license expired and I wasn't able to renew it. My only regret is not learning how to drive a car.
