Hi Hiver,
Merry Christmas everyone.
There is a saying that I really like: “Your body is your temple. Keep it clean and pure for the soul to dwell in.” – BKS Lyengar
And for me, Yoga is the way to do that.
A few years ago I came to Yoga with curiosity about this subject, it was not as popular in my country as it is today. Then I realize that I really enjoy and love every movement of the body. I started listening to my body, spending more time with myself.
Enjoying each passing moment, I feel the beauty of nature, the cool wind, the sound of birdsong, the sound of running water.
Things are very simple and present everywhere, but people do not always notice that. My body gradually became more supple and flexible. Practicing poses (Asana) every day brings health and a healthy lifestyle, knowing how to love and cherish your body.
Difficult poses that provide a sense of conquest, such as balance poses, improve focus and mind.
But instead of delving into conquering difficult poses, I focus on breathing and feeling the soul, the body.
Because Yoga is a combination of body-mind. If one of those things is missing, then Yoga is like a regular exercise.
Since coming to Yoga, I have chance to know many people. Everyone comes to Yoga for different reasons, but the ultimate goal is still to bring the mind and body back to "Peace".
I spread my love of Yoga to those people around me.
Because I have experienced and felt the benefits that Yoga brings.
I started with my roommate, in the afternoon after work, we went to Hoi An beach to spread out the practice mat, nothing but the sound of the waves, the peace was extremely peaceful.
Next are relatives, during the lockdown, I teach them online. Indeed, when one door closes, another will open, the important thing is whether you are ready or not.
Because of Covid, I learned to manage on my own, find ways to spread Yoga and positive energy to everyone. I went to online training courses, researched training aids, looked at the layout of exercise mats and camera screens...
And the result is that everyone's health is improved, and the mood is better during a hard time. Then there were practitioners from North to South, who were introduced by acquaintances. After the first practice session, people open up and share more with each other, Yoga not only brings health but also cohesion.
There are mothers after giving birth, develop depression. They come to Yoga to find silence for themselves, to find a feeling of being understood. Because of the busy life, it is not easy to spend an hour when having a baby. And then Yoga became a soul mate.
There are young people, working with their phones and laptops all day, leading to back pain and shoulder pain. After practicing Yoga they know how to modulate the body's movements, understand the principle of reasonable rest. They work more productively and with more energy. There are many reasons for people come to Yoga.
During the course of teaching Yoga, I realized that people's minds are always busy, hustle, worried, stressed, but they forget that, at such times, just sit down and be still, focus on the inhale, and exhale. Then the mind will be sharper, more lucid. We can't change the situation, but we can change the attitude we have towards it.
Of course, that's the theory, but the practice is a process.
Yoga and travel are the same, both are the conquest of new lands, new ideas, new things. Time for yourself, not getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of life.
Yoga brings positive energy on every journey. Taking a little time each day for yourself, practicing Yoga or any sport, is kindness to yourself. Now Yoga for me is not only a profession, a hobby, but also my life.
Merry Christmas, wishing everyone health and peace 🍀🍀🍀
