Rooibos Native Herb To South Africa
Magical in the mountains where this herb grows, only in the Cederberg 250 kilometres from Cape Town, now shipped around the world. It has been found the plant is only able to grow in specific small regions within upper slopes Cederberg Mountain Range.
Enjoyed an estimated 300 years ago by the Khoisan (Bushman) peoples, 'hussled and tussled' about for rights of manufacture and distribution around the world I am very happy the original peoples now benefit from the profits made off the plants they originally found.

We grew up drinking tea, seldom if ever given cold drinks bought from a store, adding flavour with a slice or two of fresh lemon, is how imbibed the red tea, other alternative was black tea.
When my two sons arrived I made Rooibos tea as their alternative drink, brewing enough for myself, setting some aside diluting half/half with cooled boiled water that was handy in the fridge. I do enjoy red tea brewed in a pot drawing all the flavour out, strong!
Drinking Rooibos hot or cold depends on your preference, some add a little honey, others lemon slices I have heard of people mixing in a variety of fruit to flavour keeping it cool in the fridge as a refreshing cold drink.
