Nature Threading Woven Together
Weaving our intricate, interconnected living organisms together, everything comes to life.
How wonderful it was to witness the start of waning moon, gentle reminder my side of life now when you start to feel it in your bones when rising in the morning. Yes we do tend to lose some stature around 40, now rear-view image.
Diversity a strong part of who we are, blending in together whether cultural, racial or religious we mingle within places of recreation or work. Life is interesting when you open up to each other.
Freedom on high alludes us, yet all part of the tapestry forging us together graceful as a ballerina on high, legs neatly tucked tapered behind aerodynamic body. Reduce the drag in other words, wish we could all do that!
Still busy with wall now completed on side of the homestead, good to see it won't topple over onto the neighbours vehicles anytime soon, another section to go, visit the Municipality as is with all departments this is the second visit to try sort out paperwork. If only I had the glitzy zest to take them on..., it's no good alas, never helps they tend to ignore you more.
Fun part is blooming garden this month of October, Butterfly Iris on the hill dancing delightfully in gentle breeze, planted around the garden here is a close up of its face.
Chasing around the garden diving into the jasmine bush, name of jasmine is derived from the Persian 'yasmin', meaning a gift from God. Common Mother-of-Pearl (Protogoniomorpha parhassus) toward end of season in their lives. Have fun finding them, they blend in so well!
Sprouting up and showing dainty faces are the Spanish dancer orchid, some call them the Dancing lady orchid on research first name was used in the Stellenbosch botanical guide I refer to.
Albuca fastigiata is an erect bulbous herb has been in flower this time for a couple of months, must be happy where it is placed on the tapestry, always reminds me of spearmint sweets we used to enjoy as children.
Carpet of red hits winding around the corner, watch that cactus he will spike you as well. Flower carpet red rose will bloom from now for the next few months it too has brought warmth and joy outdoors.
Finishing off the week with water cascading down man-made water feature, birds watering hole, bathing or drinking this is where they enjoy time out, some dive, others shower, all are shy and disappear when captured through the lens you really have to learn to blend into this part of weaving into tapestry in nature. This too recently repaired.
Off I go into the sunset for another busy week ahead, thanks for visiting, commenting and enjoying what we have woven into our daily lives, grateful for what is available to enjoy.
